I had it with my first pregnancy at around 5 months. YES it does eventually go away. I watched it all the time because summer was 7 month away after my son was born and I was determined to lose the weight and the line. This pregnancy I haven't seen it yet but I am only 14 weeks.
Ah yes. Don't have it yet but mine travels all the way up to the bust, like a previous commenter said. And the it leaves a speckling of splotches right under the breasts (for me - not sure if everyone gets that). They're like monster freckles on steroids BUT they do fade.
ETA: the "freckles" or pigmentation aren't actually on my breasts, though it may be normal to see it on yours. It's under them, on the skin over my stomach.
You know what's weird, (this is my second pregnacy the last one i only made it to 8 weeks) but I've always has that line... For as long as I could remember, my sister in law poined it out once and idk how I got it hmmm...

I used to have that line when I was a little kid! I remember my mom explaining it showed up when women were pregnant and I was so curious. Don't know when it faded, but it's gone now. I'm getting the impression I'm in the minority here, but I'm excited to see it again. I keep checking! Nothing yet :-)
@mybabynumber2 I'm fully Hispanic but I have pale skin (white) (*not trying to sound racist) with my first I got it at about 14weeks my second I got it early at 11weeks. Im 13w4d I'm not worried but its strange but you know its all up to the hormones!
But probably I don't see it because I'm hairy. But it's strange because when I'm not pregnant I have no hair . no hair on legs and don't want to get into details but its strange. Probably its the prental vitamins or hormone's!?!
Mine started showing at only 6 weeks. I thought it was weird because It just seems way too soon. Mine goes from under my bust down and past my belly button.
Re: Linea Negra
It will eventually run from under your bust, over your bump to were you can see it now. It does fade pretty quickly. Think I'm in the minority :-)

But now, if it's there, it will be bc of this little munchkin and that excites me!
Oh and hun, I'm half Indian, ladies who are pale skinned, don't often get it.
So don't be worrying mama! :-)
