Franco Paul born 6/4/15 at 39 weeks. Mila Francesca born 10/19/13 at 37 weeks. Both born via C-Section after 6 years of fertility treatments, disappointments and losses. Love them!!
First off thank you to everyone's for their congratulations!! We are just so in love! Second, sorry it's taken all day to update its been so busy. Pumping, back n Forth to nursery, drs nurses and visitors all day!!! Third, thanks for all the love for her name! Clara Louise are both family names and I just love it!!
So here's the story.... Feb 21st I had an enormous bleed. Had 2 other bleeds this pregnancy, my 12 &15 week. This bleed was bad, really bad. I filled 4-5 blue chucks from the hospital. Since at the time I was only 26 weeks, the hospital I was at transported me to a more equipt hospital right away. I've been in the hospital since! When I bled I also formed a clot. The clot was large enough that it was irritating my uterus enough to cause contractions. For the past almost 2 weeks I've been contracting every 3-10 minutes depending. Not fun, not at all!!! On Monday I was checked and told I was dilated to a 1 and completely effaced!! Absolutely terrifying. They checked me because my contractions got extremely painful, there was no pain associated with them this far. So I was on high risk and being monitored. The next day I was checked at dilated to a 3, again terrified!! By the next day they hadn't checked me and was basically saying I was fine to just take it easy and I disagree with the dr that I wasn't comfortable with him transferring me to a regular observation floor. I made him check me and what do you know!? I was dilated to 7-8, but prior to checking me dr claimed I wasn't in preterm labor. An ultra sound was done and it was found out that baby's umbilical cord was by my open cervix. So if I were to rupture her cord would prolapse so they took me straight to surgery!! This whole process was tiring and scary. I am absolutely amazed at how strong my baby is!!
Want even better news.... Baby is 36 hours old and... OFF THE VENT
We are gifted we a "mothers intuition" and honestly it's usually always right. I'm so glad you didn't let them transfer you to another floor until the doctor checked you again. She's a miracle and perfect.

Good for you for trusting your instincts instead of that doctor's! I can't believe he was going to just let you go to normal observation without checking you first! So glad that you and baby are doing so well!
Congratulations, little peanut Clara Louise is utterly lovely!! So encouraged that she is strong and healthy born at 27 weeks! I'm 27 weeks with a tiny girl too and I can't believe that she already looks so perfect in there! Praying strengths f rest for you guys as you recover and hopefully get to bring her home sooner than later!! Hooray for her safe and early start! March surely comes in like a lion
