    Hey! I just joined the facebook group. I've been looking on this board since I found out I was pregnant. I'm glad there is a facebook group now though. It's just easier for me to access and comment on at work.

    Hey all! I checked out the group and was going to join, but I'm kind of weird about facebook and don't want my activity in the group to show up in my news feed or anything. Sorry if that is super lame of me! Over the weekend I'll look at my fb privacy settings and see if there's a way to block group activity from my news feed. Thanks for making the group though!

    I may make a new facebook id to join, I dont want facebook friends to see my posts and honestly I dont plan on posting on facebook about my pregnancy until the baby is here.

    I belong to a number of private groups.

    My posts do not appear on my time line for my friends to see if you post in a private group. As long as the group is private, which im guessing it is as you have to be approved to join, your posts should not appear on your personal time line

    The group is currently public so that people can find it.  It will become private in the near future.

    Damn! I was hoping to join after it was private. I haven't shared my pregnancy with everyone yet plus I didn't want all my FB friends to see my username on here which is the same for other sites. Hopefully they couldn't see what I posted or that I joined!

    @kacdanz I feel the same way; however, I think you can still "like" the group and then go in and unfollow the group. I did that and the posts no longer show up in my feed. I am not posting until it becomes private. I haven't posted about this pregnancy and have asked family/work friends to please keep it off FB and not tag me in anything. So far, so good.

    Hey folks, we are definitely going to make the group private. I think the plan right now maybe to wait until after the weekend so that anyone who wants to find it as a public group can. And then if anyone has any issues finding it once it's a private group, we can send them a direct link. I know of a couple of you who don't want to join until it's private, but if there are others, go ahead and send me a private message and I will make sure that I let you know that it's private ones we have closed it up. Sound good??

    U can still access the group of its private using the link thst was provided in this post. I'm in an April 2011 group and we made it private from the start. This way only people from this group can find it. Maybe make it private and then pin the link in a post on her so it doesn't get lost in the shuffle?

    Also just so some FTMs know so U don't panic...even when it is turned to a secret/private group U will still see notifications on ur page for the group but others won't be able to see what you post. Just as a heads up

    I see notifications now on my personal feed but it isn't showing on DH feed what I post so I think it's okay. I have never seen my friends' posts to fb groups so I dont think they are seeing mine.

    I HATE facebook for that same reason! Why do my fb friends need to see what I like/comment/etc? Especially the creepers on my husband's side of the family that would be rude of me to block. I mean, I had clicked on "going" for an event and then a week or so later one creeper had asked over the phone how the event was that I had never ever talked about. Way to make stalking easy Facebook. Sheesh lol

    Edit : Thank you for accepting me in the group! I will post my UN after it becomes private. :)
