Do you think you'll miss being pregnant?

Luckily, I've had such an easy, smooth and enjoyable pregnancy so far! I wonder if I'm going to miss the little guy being in there? Where he's all mine and our special time is just us! I love the light subtle little kicks, playing music for him, and massaging my belly in hopes that he feels it and it relaxes him. I haven't hit that uncomfortable stage yet, but I'm really loving "our" time :)

I think I will. I've forgotten what it's like to feel not pregnant though. So I don't think I'll really know until after I have my LO.

  • I think I'll miss everything but the migraines, puking, and round ligament pain. Everything else I think I'll be sad to see go!
  • I don't think I'll miss being pregnant at work, but just in general, yes. I'm enjoying it. Especially the little kicks. They overshadow the fatigue and constant bathroom trips and all that lol.
  • The only thing I'll miss is that a baby on the inside is much easier to care for than a baby in the outside! Lol

I hate being pregnant, this time has been easier than last but still pretty miserable. (I think because I haven't had time to really pity myself chasing a toddler all day!)

  • This time is so special and only lasts a short time in a woman's life. You don't miss the morning sickness, fatigue, or backaches, but the feeling of your baby with hiccups, or kicking late at night is so precious! I can't wait to meet this little one!!!!
  • No, no, no, no. Lol. I hated my first pregnancy and not enjoying this one. The only thing i missed was feeling the movement. I don't understand women who say they miss being pregnant.
  • There is a nice feeling of love and warmth and femininity with being pregnant that I like.  But bending over to do shoes, especially having a toddler at home too, will not be missed.  I will not miss the heartburn or having to sleep with a pillow between my knees.

  • I don't know... I haven't experienced the movement yet (I'm a FTM, 19 weeks +? Days) so I have nothing so far to really miss other than my excuses to take naps during the day! Lol

All of you with your LOs at home make me really want to savor this first pregnancy, and all the quiet I can still get!!!
  • Pregnancy has never been a good experience for me. Other than feeling the kicks and seeing baby grow in ultrasound, I've been miserable all 3 times! This is our last baby and I know I'm not going to miss it at all. Lol
  • Well I love being pregnant so I'll say yes! We maybe crazy but DH and I are considering doing this back to back.
  • I loved being pregnant with DS. It wasn't all roses, but I really did love it and I feared that I'd be really sad when pregnant with our second because it is most likely our last. This time around I don't physically feel much different than I did the first time, but I also don't think I'll be sad when it's done. I do love feeling LO wiggling around in there, but otherwise, I think I won't miss it. DS and I still have a special connection and he's been on the outside for 3 years, so I'm not worried about losing that.

  • I genuinely missed being pregnant after my DS arrived.  I think part of it might have to do with when your pregnant everyone asks how you are doing, but once the baby arrives it's all about them and your kind of neglected.

  • My boobs are so itchy they actually woke me up this morning. I then had to run to the bathroom so I didn't wet the bed.

I'm gonna say probably not haha
  • I've always been envious of women that had great pregnancies. Having HG and wicked heartburn doesn't really help lol. I don't enjoy growing babies, just the before and after ;)
  • @AmommyB my friend says the same. She was one and done and said that she envies anyone who has an easy pregnancy! My sister thinks I'm insane for wanting to do this again.
  • Not really. I can't wait to have sex again, it's just way to uncomfortable right now. :)
  • I'm sure the hormones will make me miss it on some level but overall NO! I don't love being pregnant...I love that I'm going to get my little boy out of this disgusting experience but this hasn't been fun for me. I will happily do it again because I love and want more kids but I'm not excited to go through pregnancy again.
  • Yes! This is my third time and I LOVE being pregnant. But I've had relatively easy pregnancies. Also I believe this will be oir last one so I'm trying to enjoy Evey bit of it!
  • The first thing I do when I wake up is feel for him and I love when he wiggles and surprises me during the day. There are obviously some very uncomfortable symptoms that everyone is mentioning but I think I will miss being pregnant because right now he's with my all of the time. I am excited to have him out in the world though!
  • Yes a little for the happy feels, but mostly no because of the the physical/sickness symptoms. No more kids after this so I'll have to get my baby fix holding other people's babies!

  • Somewhat. This is my first and I know after this I am not going to have another pregnancy where I can go home and just lay on the couch and relax after work. I will miss my husband being so helpful around the house and helping me cook dinner. I will miss feeling my baby boy rolling around inside of me. I will not miss dry heaving everytime I brush my teeth or peeing a little each time I sneeze.
  • I think I will miss everyone being so caring towards me. Lol
  • I will miss the fact that I look cute with a little bump on my stomach. I love that I can wear cloths that show off my bump and get complements. I also can not wait to wear a bikini this summer because it will be the first time in my life I won't be worried about how flat my belly is.
  • I can honestly say no!
This is my 4th pregnancy and was unplanned.
I have two children (6yrs+14months) and have had one late loss (ID twins at 19wks).
I'm Feeling really old (37 next month) and really heavy. I have lots of aches and pains and I worry every day that something is going to go wrong again. This is definitely the last time. I will be on the ball with the contraception after this little one.
I know how negative I sound. I think it's the realisation that I still have near on 17 weeks to go!
I know more than anyone how very lucky I am. Xx
  • Yes, I love being pregnant!  So much so that I had actually looked into being a gestational surrogate, ultimately decided against it, but I really enjoy being pregnant.  This is our last so I'm really trying to savor it.
  • I def will miss it I love it so far anyways sometimes I wish I could move due date back its almost over and I dont want it to be. I love her lil kicks!
  • @sschwege wow that's awesome! You really do love it!
  • The only thing I'll miss is feeling my little guy move. That's how I was with my first. It was just odd not having him in there anymore. However, it's great not feeling like a whale anymore (especially towards the end, I would just bump into everything with my belly). I know I will not miss that lol

I have never been a fan of pregnancy.  I love the end result though!  That makes it all worth it.

Nope. I've had 4 losses, including a stillbirth. This process fills me with anxiety. Give me my baby so I can move on.

  • Nah. Pregnancy has been pretty easy for me so far, but it's not particularly enjoyable. I'd much rather be playing with my baby in the flesh than just hoping to feel a kick every once in a while!

  • I will miss it! This is my last one. My husband treats me like a queen even more when I'm pregnant and in relishing the time left!
  • While I have easy pregnancies and the baby is admittedly easier to care for on the inside than on the outside, I have had 2 losses and just generally would like the pregnancy to be over and baby to get here so I know he/she is ok. I do feel adorable with the bump until about 30 weeks though :)
  • This is my first and probably my last. I feel blessed to be pregnant but I am not enjoying it. I am happy to have experienced it this one time. The human body is truly amazing. It hasn't been particularly hard, but I am high stress/high anxiety, so I am in overdrive. We made an agreement: one of our own then foster/adopt the remainder of our family.
