I also would like some breast pump advice/ opinions. The best options seem to be the Medela in style advanced or the Evenflo advanced double pump. I'm leaning towards the Evenflo because it's a closed system. Anyone have any experience with these specific pumps?
No advice on those brands, but as a general note, make sure to call your insurance company. I believe any private insurance provider must provide you with a free breast pump. Some will do a double electric (great) and some only a manual (cheapskates) but they have to give you something.
Has anyone used the Freemie? I had a Almeda Purely Yours last time. It worked fine; my boobs just stopped cooperating after a while.
Blessed Mama to the sweetest boy in the world (11/9/13), one angel baby, and two fur babies: Mattie Dog and Stanley Cat.
I only use the Medela both the hospital grade and the at home version. My daughter had problems gaining weight due to medical condition so I had to mix the breast milk with a special formula, so I pumped frequently. The Medela work great, the hospital grade was the best, that being said this time around I think I may rent a hospital grade machine instead of getting the pump for home that's Covered by insurance. I never switch brands because I was happy however I would suggest that you get the right size shield. The ones that come with the devices are not a one size fits all and shield that are too small will cause serious discomfort & pain.
