Anyone find any affordable websites with cute nursing tops? I am starting to realize I have a wardrobe that isn't very friendly for breastfeeding. Any suggestions from experienced moms?
Layered out fits work well pull the top shirt up and the bottom shirt down. I never bought any real nursing tops but if I had a large flowy top over a tank top it worked pretty well
For me personally what works best is anything with buttons down the front. It doesn't have to be a "nursing" top. Anything in any brand you like and know you'll fit in with some buttons works. The only other thing I do is buy tank tops that have built in bras for sleeping and for an under layer. Loose tops work as well too, with or without something underneath, something you can pull up.
Layer, layer, layer! I wore nursing tanks under everything and it worked great. I also have a couple nursing shirts from H&M. They aren't amazing but inexpensive and easy to nurse in.
Definitely invest in nursing tanks. And like everyone said, layers are your friends. I had issues with button up tops because my breasts swell really fast if I miss my nursing schedule by even 20 min, and I had mishaps where the buttons popped open and I wasn't aware right away.
I am trying tanks I found that clip onto my nursing bras called Undercover Mama. Found them on Amazon and I tried them out (sans actually feeding but wanted to see how easy it was to access) and they worked great! They were $25 a pop but I can wear all my normal shirts with them so I though it was a good investment.
I bought one from target. Haven't used it yet but it seems like it will do the job. I'm also thinking of making my own. I found a site on Pinterest where it showed you how to make them with no sewing involved!
I highly recommend making your own nursing tank. It is super easy to do, and if you hit Old Navy when there is a tank sale, you can get them for just 4 bucks.
