Husband and I have been trying for 2 years so we definitely already have names picked out. Brooklynn Grace for a girl Kolton Richard for a boy (Richard is a family name)
Hazel Lynn for a girl. Either Bradley William or Owen Boyd for a boy
Hazel is my all time favorite name. I had Hazel Mae picked out when I had a mc almost 3 years ago... and in my heart, that LO will always be my Hazel. Hazel was my grandmother's name and Mae was her sister. :x
We have a long time to decide but names I've always wanted:
Girl: Holland Ivy (my gfather's middle name) Boy: Collin Luke (Collins is my maiden and Luke is hubby)
I've never shared my wanted names with anyone but my husband and mom but just recently a girl (right outside my close circle of friends) named her dd Holland. I wasn't even pregnant yet and got SO UPSET. I screamed when I saw it in FB! ! I did tell her when I saw her shortly after that Holland has always been my name for my girl and that it was a family name so she wouldn't think I "stole" it LOL! On top of that, my SIL that's due in April announced at Christmas they are naming their DD Holly so we would have a Holly Hanson and Holland Hanson....still so close! ! !
Now it's hard for me to use the name so I may do something like Hollan (drop the d) Idk! So conflicted.
I've had my heart set on a girl but now I'm like maybe it'll be a boy so I won't stress so much! ! Any suggestions would be appreciated! !
I would say a good rule of thumb when naming your kid is do the "Starbucks test". Use the name of your future child when ordering your drink at Starbucks or tell a hostess at a restaurant.
Are you uncomfortable saying the name? Do you have to spell the name? What look does the employee give you upon hearing the name?
If you're uncomfortable telling someone its your name or find that you're annoyed spelling it once or twice, you might want to re-think giving the name to your child for life.
My name is common and it's almost always spelled wrong at Starbucks!
Same. I'm Jo, nice and simple. Starbucks (and others) always spell it Joe. I'm sorry, but I haven't come across many female 'Joes' before???
Girls: 1. Autumn Ruth/Mae? 2. Finley Drew 3. Olivia Mae
Boys: 1. August Finn 2. Jude Anthony 3. Finn Li
I went nuts with names, but we're finally settling down a little! To me I was super eager for girls names.. boys are a little tougher in my opinion!
Here's the reasoning behind Autumn! *deep breath* So, my husband and I got married on the first day of Autumn, My grandfather was buried on that same day, my husband wrote a song about his grandfather's passing... called "Autumn", and our "estimated due date" is our wedding day (first day of Autumn) .... almost seems meant to be!
Ugh names. Dh and I have SUCH a hard time with names. Girl will likely be Audrey Rose. WE didn't find out ds 1 gender, so we've had this name picked out since we were pregnant with him. We are awful with boy names. We disagree so much. DS 1' middle name was after dh's brother that passed away. My brother passed away in 2013, so if #3 is a boy his middle name will likely be my brother's name. Frank. I liked Joseph with ds #2, but dh does not. If it were up to me it would Joseph Frank. We shall see.
My husband is Indian so we're trying to find Indian names that are easy to pronounce and/or also sound American. Right now we have Anisha as a possibility for a girl (no middle name yet), but we haven't yet found a name for a boy. It's been a bit difficult!
I know if we have a girl I'm set on Trinity. Can't decide the middle name and having the hardest time with boys names. My husband has everyone calling him skeletor- from he- man and he'd seriously name him that. He's even trying to convince me of that for the middle name but my dad would be so mad at me for doing that since I was raised catholic. I know my dad would say it sounds evil lol
My daughter's name is Maicey Alexis LaRae. My best friend named all her children with two middle names and I loved it. Now to come up with another double name is so hard LOL
We have a thing where all our kids have names that start with a vowel, are 4 letters long( First names), and have two middle names that are family names (we are kind of weird.) The names we have picked out are Ayla Beth Janette And Oryn (pronounced or-an) Gregory James
We were also considering Oria for the girl's first name, but we already have two daughters and are hoping for a boy this time around.
anybody else doing double middle names? DH and my stepson both have them, as well as a couple people in my family, so we'll be doing them. we get more choices that way but agreeing on the order is the hard part! lol

Evelyn for sure for girl name. I like Evelyn Rose. Boy name is Henry. We talked about Henry David. Our son is Eli Turner. Our last name is Daniel so that makes boys names hard.
@gollygeeitsamy it is so unnecessary to put down all of these ladies names. You get to name your kid what you want and, quite frankly, you don't get to have a voiced opinion about these other folks names. If you don't have anything nice to say keep your rude opinion to yourself. By the way I was NOT one of those who listed a name above, I was just offended on their behalf.
Re: What baby names do you have ?!

Noah Ryan
Liam Wyatt
We are planning to stick to a 4 letter first name if it's another boy. We like Levi and Colt.
We like Levi and Colt. Noah & Liam were both uncommon when we named them, but they sure our popular now!

Girl - Ellison, Mallory or Brielle, leaning towards Kate as middle name for all 3
Boy: have no idea, we have a boy already named Mason Michael

In case anyone needs a name option, I just met a student at my school named RiShit. Just like it is spelled. He said it so proudly.
