STMs: Active in utero = active baby?

Lurker with a question here. If your baby was very active in the womb, did s/he turn out to be very active after birth as well? Asking because DS (who is now 6) was very active in utero and has been extremely active since he was born too - as in, severe ADHD, multiple hours per day of exercise level of active.  This one is really active too, and I'm terrified that he'll be just as over-the-top as DS is.  I know all kids are different and that there's no way to know in advance what my baby will be like, just wondering what others' experiences have been.

  • My son who is now 3 was not crazy active in the womb. He's now a typical wild 3 year old.

  • My oldest was not active at all, only kicked when i ate/drank something. He turned out to have ADHD. My 2nd child was a drummer in my belly... She is very focused, advanced, and learns from her brothers mistakes! You never know! Have you looked into any research about ADHD??? I have found recent studies that suggest GMOs play a role as well as your dna.. Supposedly your dna is not lined up in order???... I dont know, but you may find answers in the probability of a second child having it.
  • My DD rarely moved in the womb. I was convinced I'd have a zen yoga baby. The first 18 months were hell. She never slept, I had to hold her and she had to be moving constantly when awake. So she wasn't totally active, but not calm by any means.
  • Thanks, ladies. I know there's no way to know in advance, but it's nice to hear others' experiences. My OB said that her two kids were opposite - the active-in-utero one was chill as a baby, and the quiet one in utero was super high needs after birth. I'm prepared for another go-round with a sleepless crazy baby but would be *so happy* if this one was more chilled-out.
