So my fiance and I are due 4/16/15 putting us at 33 weeks
my breasts started making colostrum about two months ago and it was just a little at first
Well when we wanna get things going in the bedroom, one of my main things has always been nipple stimulation. So he would suck on them and at first he could handle it because it was just a little bit of leakage if he squeezed while he sucked.
Over the past month it has progressed to my breasts making quite a bit of liquid. Its still got a clear/yellowish tint to it but he says when he sucks its a lot. I've seen him spit it out and its just 3 tablespoons at the most that I've seen.
My breasts have been getting full and really heavy so I've been letting him suck on them to get some of it out and make them less heavy.
I'm starting to worry that he's getting all the colostrum and our baby won't have any when she's born, it'll just be milk.
Anybody got any (not negative) feedback?! I know its odd but I'm really needing some feedback.
Re: TMI warning! breastfeeding daddy?
If it's the former, I applaud your attention to detail.
You're going to initiate labor and plus.......
Just stop.
Did I just read what I think I just read?
Also with my first I couldn't breastfeed bc my body didn't make enough milk within the first few days. My daughter was starving so I hadto let them give her a bottle with formula then she WOULD NOT latch onto my breast . His concern is that will happen again and he wants his little girl to be bf so he says he wants to help body make enough milk for her. Honestly, I had no clue it was such a negative thing. I understand the frowning upon it everybody's got their thing some are more sensative to things like this, some can read anything without blinking. But honestly I just wanted some factual feedback about whether or not this could cause me to not have any colostrum left for when she's born.
Baby #1: BFP 1/30/14, EDD 9/28/14, natural MC @ 6 weeks
Baby #2: BFP 8/1/2014, EDD 4/9/2015, It's a GIRL: Addison Elizabeth!
Secondly: people tandem breastfeed (their young children!) all the time. I'm still nursing my 17 month old and plan continue. As pp said, you will stop producing colostrum a coupl days after the placenta detaches.
Third: stop nursing your fiancé. 3 tablespoons is a lot. There are many more ways to be intimate and he's not increasing your supply at all. Get a breast pump and got nuts after baby comes but FFS stop nursing your fiancé. His big interest in it is super creepy.
Plus, if nipple stimulation is what you are into there are ways he could stimulate your nipples without actually sucking on them to the point of getting 'milk' (or whatever it's called at this stage.)
That's my friendly lactation consultant advice.

OMG! Lol
This was the best post I've read in a long time !!!
This whole post gives makes me sick and since you decided to "share" an some majorly intimate, albeit disgusting, information on your goings on in the bedroom, I feel provoked to give my opinion.
First... Bleh..
Second... Your milk supply will be just fine without the "assistance" from your fiancé.
Third... Guah....
Forth... If you want an opinion, you got plenty of it here. Do not tell a public forum how to respond. If you want a profession opinion, How about asking your doctor? They are at least paid to tell you in a therapeutic manner that you are grossly misinformed about milk supply.
Fifth... I feel like no matter what any of us say, you are going to dig your heels in and feel like you are justified in this fetish, because that's what it is. You are marrying a man who likes to suck on your nipples to get milk. Sorry but you both deserve each other if you both think this is in anyway correct.
What I do not support is a creepy fetish. A fetish that could likely cause preterm labor. A fetish that is completely based off of misinformation. Where in medical books do they say that in order to keep milk supply up, your SO should suck on your breasts?! Seriously where?
I feel like just for this thread, I need to bring this out from the old Parenting days.
