Still no movement...

I'm almost 23 weeks and still no movement. The doc said I have an anterior placenta, but I just feel like even with that I should've felt her by now. Anyone else in the same boat?

Re: Still no movement...

  • I am!

I felt him first when we were watching a movie and then no movement absolutely for 5 weeks..! 5 scary weeks.. I'm 25 weeks now and can feel him move :)

Don't worry.. she will be kicking you soon ! :)

  • An anterior placenta is generally the cause of this. I have one too and can only feel LO in certain positions and when I am very still. If you are worried, ask your dr, but I don't think you should be worried.

  • Until your doctor asks you to track your movements, I wouldn't worry much about lacking them. Talk to your doctor to ease your mind. Try to relax and know that every pregnancy is different.

I'm 23 weeks and still haven't felt anything - and to be honest, am getting tired of people asking and then seeing their faces when I say no. I have been running on the low to normal side of amniotic fluid which attributes to my not being able to feel kicks yet. As long as I see her moving in the sonograms and hear her heartbeat, I'm good. Hope you get to feel some soon!

  • I'm also 25 weeks and the first time I felt something that I knew for sure was Ewok was maybe 10 days ago. I hope you ladies feel them soon!

  • 26 weeks today and I felt my first official kick about three days ago. I was freaked out at my appointment last week about it and my doctor said not to worry too much until 28 weeks. Mine happened out of nowhere and really haven't stopped yet! Try not to freak out too much :)

I don't have an anterior placenta and I didn't start feeling anything certain until almost 24 weeks. You basically answered your own question. You have an anterior placenta. So it will take longer. When it happens, you'll know.
