I'll introduce myself since I just recently joined. I am a 37 y/o married SAHM of a 9 m/o. We have been married for a little less than two years (had LO two days before our one year anniversary) and are expecting our second June 30th. We live just outside Chicago and are eagerly awaiting spring! I enjoy crocheting, crafts and spending time with friends (when time and energy permits).
To a of you with little ones less than two years apart, or expect a second before your A14 is two, please tell me how you keep from feeling overwhelmed! My boys are 20 months apart and I love it, but feel like I may lose my mind.
Mine are just over 2 years apart. DS is 26 months older than DD. It is hard! I mean I love that they are close in age and DS is so good with "helping" and loves his little sister but man it is hard! For me having a great DH that is such an involved and great dad is what makes it work. Also asking DS to "help" with little tasks and to take care of DD .

Glad I'm not the only one who feels overwhelmed sometimes. 8-}

My kids have the exact same age difference. Not sure what I was thinking! It's kind of nice to hear I'm not the only one overwhelmed. I must look like a frazzled crazy lady whenever I'm out alone with the two of them! I get sympathetic looks and I CANNOT get anywhere on time! Like there's something wrong with me!
So is your older LO a January or February '12 baby? DS was Jan. '12. I avoid going places with both of them by myself if at all possible. My biggest issue when by myself out with the two is helping older DS go potty or god forbid if I have to go! Juggling baby, diaper bag and the DS is so hard lol!
Wow. I have been feeling discouraged that my July 12 boy is jot at all interested/ready for potty training, but now you have me realizing I should enjoy some of the simplicities of diapers. :-)

She's early February '12. The bathroom situation is the worst!!! I just never go myself when I'm out alone with them! Not the best solution... I've had to put the baby on the bathroom floor and try to keep him from licking it on several occasions.
I had them at the museum today and the 3 year old was being such a sh**. She totally ran away from me and I had to chase her down with a 22lb 10 month old strapped to me.
I try to go out with them quite a bit, but I'm a basket case the whole time. Actually getting out of the house is also a nightmare. But I hate just staying in the house...
Reading Specialist for K-2 and just started teaching a night class at a local university.
Married 4 years in July. Looking forward to having my summer off with my husband and baby. Last summer I was too scared to have her in the sun so we spent most of our days indoors. NOT THIS SUMMER!
Favorites: rice krispie treats, chocolate, take out (hate to cook), and the TV show Scandal!
Hello! I've been lurking since my pregnancy, and I'm really hoping to get this board back to full strength!
I live in Ohio, though I was born and raised in Texas, and work as an auditor.
I'm 28, and the FTM of a beautiful daughter who lights up my life. I've been married almost seven years, and been with my husband since high school. Glad to know y'all better!

Welcome! Where in Ohio? I'm in the Cleveland area.
Ok, I am going to try to join in again. I got a late start on here (in our second trimester) and had no idea what all the abbreviations meant so just kinda lurked before with an occasional post. I still don't know what everything means, but am going to try to participate more since everyone has such good advice and it's less cliquey.
I am 33 and a FTM to my DS born 4/14/14. I have been married for 4 years. I live in Chicago's western burbs and have an awesome job that lets me work from home and go to the office twice a week. I have a fluffy boarder collie, love HGTV, tropical islands, and pina coladas.

I HATE all the abbreviations, sometimes I still have no idea what they mean! Now that things are less judgey, feel free to just straight up ask if you don't know.
