Re: Heart burn:

  • I have never tried it, but people say pickle juice. You can take tums or prilosec, but ask your OB first (mine is ok with both).

  • I'm having the same issue lately. I haven't had MS in weeks, but these past couple of days I start to get heartburn and then throw up because it bothers me so much! :( it really sucks. I've been taking my anti-nausea meds and prilosec. That's what my doctor said to do.
  • I had terrible heartburn with my first pregnancy, and it's back for this one! Last time around, my midwife told me papaya extract. Id of course talk to your doctor before taking anything, but some people swear by it.
  • I have had the worst heart burn as well! :-<
Yesterday I went to my local health food store and in the mother's/children's health section I found a few different brands of heart burn tea made specifically for pregnancy. I'll reply in the next few days and let you know which one works best for me, hopefully they will work for you as well! Heart burn is no fun
  • Pickle juice works for me sometimes but when it's really bad I have to take Zantac.

  • Mustard had worked for me and many of my coworkers.
  • pickle juice? I wonder if ACV would work just as well, I have some braggs ACV, I may give that a try later. I had been sipping on milk.

  • I had the worst heart burn last night too! When researching it said to eat smaller meals, caffeine, avoid citric/spicy foods.. all guidelines I didn't follow the night before. I took tums.

  • I take chewable papaya enzymes and they work amazingly. Much better then the tums I took with my first.

I wonder if I could eat dried papaya if that would work?

  • I had heartburn horribly with my previous 2 pregnancies, and my ob put me on some prescription something for it, but don't remember what it was. I'm starting to get it again, but much earlier thus time. And both my kids were basically baled until they were a year old.
  • 1 tspn baking soda in a cup of water. Miracle.
  • I just munched some almonds and it did the trick. Thank you google!
