Not surprised by any of them listed. I'm also curious about the SS list this year. I predicted to my SIL that Luca was gonna have a big jump since people seem to using it as a spin on Lucas so I'm curious if it holds true.
I'm not surprised by any of the boys names, some of the girls names I didn't think were as popular as they are. But I can't say I'm surprised by them either
Cora is my fav. girl name. I'm glad it'll become more popular. Sadly my husband vetoed as he thinks it's a horrendous name. To me it sounds amazing.
Not sure what is the deal with Stella though, it might be that i'm influenced by the opinion I have about a woman I know with that name and can't help but think of her when I hear the name.
I saw this the other day and found it interesting that Sawyer made the list for boys. This is my brother's name (he is 22) and for most of his life he rarely met another person with his name.. I mean MAYBE two other people.
I think after a character on the show Lost was named Sawyer I started hearing it more on little kids..

I had a Cabbage Patch doll named Cora. I was really surprised when I started hearing it a few years ago. I don't know why but to me it doesn't sound finished. Not like a nickname but just kind of odd.
NO!!!! I didn't think Stella was a popular name. That's the name we have picked out.
Stella is super popular where I live. With pets too. I have a friend and a cousin who named their daughters Stella. My next door neighbor as well as the neighbor across the street both have dogs named Stella. So there you go.
We love the name Lila, even though it is on all of these popular lists. However, it is not popular in my area. Do you all see a lot of little girls named Lila?

A few and it's definitely climbing charts fast. It was 489 in 2004 and in 2013 it was 192. When 2014 number come out in May I am willing to bet it's below 150 closer to 100.

What area do you live in? I have never met anyone named Stella or heard of anyone naming their child that. I did know it was a kind of popular dog name.
excellent...maybe i can use this as ammo to sway DH away from juliet.
cora was always one of my favorite girl names (it's nice to see it getting some love!), but our last name starts with the 'cor' sound, so it sounds ridiculous together. boo. a little sad to see a few of my other favorites on here...as an 80's ashley i am terrified of giving our LO an overly common name.

The Stellas I know were born in Boston and NYC
