Gender scan accuracy

I had an elective gender scan yesterday and the tech said 100% girl, I've always heard you see 3lines with a girl but this ultrasound looks like a V. With my son I could clearly tell at my 16 week elective that he was a boy, it was sticking straight out. I just hear so many stories of girls ending up being boys. I'm gonna ask my dr what he thinks but can y'all give me opinions on the pic and tell me if you think it's a girl? Thanks! image

Re: Gender scan accuracy

  • Please don't post pictures of your child's genitals. Also, it's sex not gender. I'd trust your tech or wait for your anatomy scan.

Pictures of your child's genitals are wildly inappropriate to post on a public forum. Not to mention none of us are trained in this. If you paid for an early elective I would trust them or see if the sex can be confirmed during your AS

  • Yeah I would go with what the trained ultrasound technician told you. None of us are ultrasound technicians so we are not trained in how to interpret the picture
  • This is an not an appropriate picture to put on public access website.

  • First and foremost, remove your child's genitals from the Internet.
    Second its sex not gender.
    Third, no one cares.

  • I've heard more of the tech telling you it's a boy and having it be a girl than the other way around since their genitals can be swollen. That being said if the tech said girl id go with girl and just confirm at your A/S. Plus, looks like what my ultrasound did and I'm having a girl. :)
