Re: Anyone terrified of miscarriage?

  • This is my first, and I am concerned. Trying to stay positive

  • I'm in the same boat!  I have been lucky, I guess, to not have many symptoms (and it's early- 4 weeks + 2 days).  My husband keeps telling me things are OK, but it's hard not to worry.  Sending good thoughts to all of you.

  • I am in your same boat. Had a miscarriage at about 9 weeks in December 2014, and here we are again. I fee like once I get passed the point I was last time I will feel some peace?! I am hoping at least! my numbers are different/better this time so I feel hopeful!
  • Oh wow! Yeah, before I got pregnant, I discovered a bump on my cervix. From what I've been reading, it's likely just a Nabothian cyst. I've been super crampy with this pregnancy, so it's all making me paranoid.
  • I can totally relate! Miscarried back in July and just found out I am pregnant again Tuesday! Can't seem to quit worrying.
  • I'm so glad I'm not the only one who freaks out and is paranoid about this ! This is my first pregnancy. My biological mom has never miscarried but my half sister did twice before she was able to carry to term so I'm nervous as can be! I'm so terrified of every little twinge or cramp and all I can do is think to myself... 'please don't let this be persistent...' no spotting but I still worry about every little cramp I feel and I'm constantly check the TP after I wipe to make sure I'm not spotting (sorry if tmi) I gave my first ultrasound monday the 23rd so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we will see the baby and hear a heartbeat!
  • I had a miscarriage in Nov 2014 at 15 weeks, but baby measured at 13 weeks. I am currently 7 weeks. I had an ultrasound at 5 weeks and hear a heartbeat, but two days letter passed a large clot and spotted for a week. I had my levels tested and they were a little low. I am scheduled for another ultrasound tomorrow to determine if it was a second miscarriage or if we are still pregnant. We are a nervous wreck!
  • What's sad is I'll probably get a warning for sharing that link. But I really thought it was something we all should be able to share. And I'll be Dam**d if some admin is going to keep me from sharing useful information with my "sisters" here. <3

  • Thanks for sharing @wildbaker. Made me feel better :)

  • Almost every friend I have had had a miscarriage, so yes I am worried. I was made even more so when I woke up this last Sunday to spotting with small clotting. It only happened once and the doctor told me it was normal but I still worry. This is my first pregnancy and I am 7 1/2 weeks.
  • This is my first pregnancy (5 weeks and 4 days today), but I am constantly worried every time I have a cramp or a twinge that something is wrong. I wish I could go in for an early ultrasound, but dr won't see patients until they are 8 weeks :(  Once I see a heartbeat and cross the 8 week mark, I will feel a bit better. And, a friend reminded me that most miscarriages have NOTHING to do with the mother, and that there isn't much I can do (to prevent OR to cause a miscarriage). Best wishes to everyone for a healthy sticky baby!
