Felt baby move!

Ok so I'm 15 weeks and 2 days pregnant with my third baby and this morning I swear I felt the baby kick my hand 3 times!! Am I losing my mind or am I feeling what I swear I felt! Like I said before this is my third baby. My second baby I felt a lot sooner than my first too

Re: Felt baby move!

  • I don't think you would feel it on your hand yet...beginning is more just flutters inside.
  • Loading the player...
  • I didn't feel outside kicks until 21 weeks.

But it sounds like you're pretty convinced what you felt was your baby kicking, so I'm not sure why you're asking internet strangers.....

  • No probably not.. sorry
  • You've done this before... You should know what it feels like. I would be totally shocked if you felt baby on the outside at 15 weeks... Inside, yes; outside, no.

Well, it'd be hard to "talk to others who might be experiencing something similar" as it's pretty early to feel the baby on the OUTSIDE. Inside? Possibly. Outside? Extremely unlikely.
  • Although every pregnancy is different. I agree 15 weeks is early for outside movement and distinct kicks. You never know though.

Thank you! I really appreciate you helping me out there... I was just very excited and wanting other mommy a feedback. I can't believe how negative some people can be!:(
  • I felt an inside flutter for the first time today! 14.5 weeks! But this is my first pregnancy.
  • Well I'm 15 weeks and when u are laying down and you push down where baby is u can feel movement , I know for an absolute fact cause my doctor was trying to find heart beat with Doppler and she was feeling around and she said the baby was very active and wouldn't be still and she felt him, butterfly feelings are also movements , but nothing huge cause the baby is so small ,
  • Aw..i am 16 weeks tomoro...and on my 3rd. I too have felt little monuvers in there some stronger than others and it does make you think i wonder if it is baby or is it just wind?! But I actually asked my midwife and she said it could be possible as you feel it sooner as you have more baby's . Your feeling what your feeling and it's wonderful enjoy it. You know the difference deep down ;)
  • I didn't feel movement with my first until around 20 weeks. You probably felt a gas bubble or something. I know you're probably excited though and a first time mom, but the baby is very small still and would be hard to feel move with your hand. Don't worry, that wonderful feeling is coming though!

Second pregnancy for me I had my son seven months ago I am 13 weeks along and I definitely feel flutters although I don't feel any outside movement yet.
I imagine knowing what you're feeling because this is your third baby you may actually feel a lot more than you did before your muscles are stretched your uterus is all accustomed to growing and getting bigger so maybe you did feel it and you're not crazy congrats

Then why was she asking internet strangers. If she wanted to talk to other experiencing this she could've said something along the lines of "Hey, I feel my baby kick, anyone else?" But no, she asked if it was her baby she was feeling.

Silly me, I guess I shouldn't be answering the questions asked and try reading minds of internet strangers instead.

  • Wow I have to agree some of these comments are pretty nasty!! I will be taking myself off this forum and be looking into discussing this kinda negative feedback with someone in charge of this web site!! I found this very hurtful and immature, all I was wanting was other moms input not negativity. Thanks anyway...
I'm sure you are excited to feel your baby move, but no one said anything nasty to you. Just gave you honest answers. You never would have survived here a few months ago when the real snark was around! And good luck with discussing feedback with someone in charge, they don't care anymore.

  • Wow, and to think the people on this forum are expected to be mothers or are already mothers.... As for the one who posted this, this is your third time being a mother I think you know what you feel. I didn't think you could feel it so early but not all pregnancies are the same.
  • hm... I didn't intend to sound "nasty" and still stand by the fact that I wasn't. I don't see anyone else (prior to that comment) who was being "nasty" either.

You asked a question... I answered with my honest feedback gained from experience.

I never understood what this had to do with anything.

Because I'm a mom I need to be all about rainbows and butterflies? No thanks.

  • @bashfulbird‌ that was pretty pathetic, bash urself over the head with one since I can't do it for ya
  • Wow! Even with no snark here anymore there are still women around here complaining that people are mean/nasty for giving honest answers?? Are we still allowed to recommend that people put on their big girl panties? I need to read the new TOU. ;-)

oh, so sorry. I didn't realize you were the baby guru here who knows everything about pregnancy because you've had 7 pregnancies. You know you're not the only one here who has been pregnant multiple times right?

Good for you! But you haven't taken into count that your baby isn't big enough to use that much force. While every pregnancy is different, there is still the fact that it is scientifically impossible for baby to use enough force to be felt kicking on the out side of the body before 16-17 weeks.

Feeling it internally, can happen from 13/14 weeks on.
