Im 8w6d and starting to feel uncomfortable in my jeans. I did the rubberband trick under a sweater but I had to pull them up every few minutes, the whole day! I bought maternity jeans today and let me tell you, they are glorious!! I wish I had worn them BEFORE I was pregnant lol. Has anyone else made the switch yet? I highly recommend it ; ) also, I'm going to blow so much $$$ on maternity clothes because they are SO cute
Re: Maternity Jeans
On another note. I did get 50% off of a cute pair, I always had a bit of a belly so my clothes were already accommodating my pooch but I have them shall I need them...
Considering I'm still "showing" from DD my pants are tight at 8.1.
And just because baby is a raspberry doesn't mean uterus is a raspberry...
@Ali+Cee Maternity leggings?! 70 degrees isn't too warm for those right?! I mean, I think I NEED them.
@babs02 right? DH thinks I'm showing already. I was like "nooo sweety, it's just me being bloated and fat. But thanks for being so excited" lol.
Anyways, I've been in maternity pants since 7 weeks bc of the bloating. Tomorrow, I'll be 11 weeks and I'm definitely showing. I may continue wearing these pants on occasion. They are so comfy!
One last snark, sorry...baby is never ever the size of mom's belly. Even the gigantic watermelon...Mom's belly is waaaaay bigger than one watermelon shoved up there.
For all the "it's the size of a raspberry"ers out there...there's a looooot more surrounding that baby than just its raspberry sized body. On top of that, organs are being shoved into a ton of new and different places.
Rant over...
Here's a cool interactive website that shows you just where all of your organs go during the different stages of your pregnancy: https://www.msichicago.org/whats-here/exhibits/you/the-exhibit/your-beginning/make-room-for-baby/interactive/. Even before you hit second trimester, your stomach intestines are already being shoved out to make room for the uterus, so no wonder our pants are feeling tight!
@melewen that's where I went! I got BOGO 50% off of Jessica Simpson jeans. There's a few pairs online for $20 that I'm probably gonna snatch up also! Haha #addiction

@jweber4747 I can't wait for that! I only have two maxi skirts right now. I'm preparing for more this summer! Wondering about jackets... My arms aren't going to swell massively right? Lol. I'll still be able to wear my usual jean jacket?
Also, side note, my baby is the size of a raspberry, yes, but my uterus is the size of an orange. My organs used to occupy the space where that orange sized mass is and now they have to take up residence somewhere else. My stomach muscles are still broken from baby #1 and I'm only 5'2". So not a lot of room for my innards to relocate. Yeah, my belly is going to pooch out before some people's acceptable timelines lol. It's not something other people need to concern themselves with or get their panties in a wad about lol.
And as for the pants... I bought a belly band around 6-7weeks because my pants already didn't fit. The bloat is insane! I'm 9w2d and yesterday was the first day in probably 2 weeks I was able to button my work pants and skip the belly band. I don't know why but I'm just not ready to actually buy maternity clothes yet. I can't explain it. I just can't do it. So the belly band has been my lifesaver! I wish I could wear leggings to work.
