Unusual icky symptoms?

I'm just about to go into 6 weeks and for the past week or so have found it impossible to successfully get my hair clean (eww, I know). Tried ditching the conditioner, switching shampoo, showering earlier/later - nothing seems to stop these darn oily patches! Anyone else having oil issues? (Or any other not totally common, but still completely annoying symptoms?)

Re: Unusual icky symptoms?

  • Gas! I have the worst gas!

  • Night sweats. I change at least twice a night from being soaked in sweat. My poor husband moved to the couch last night. It's disgusting but I'll take whatever pesky symptoms to have a healthy baby.
  • @dragonfly09292012‌ I have night sweats too! It's so crazy I wake up soaked every night. Never saw this coming or have read about it before. Glad to know I'm not alone :)
  • My nipples started burning last night! So that one's fun.
  • My hair is oily like that too! I feel like no matter how much I wash it it just won't come clean. I've resorted to leaving it wavy and not straightening it so it's less noticeable .-.
  • My boobs hurt so freakin bad sometimes, lol.

  • Anyone Else Have Annoying Cramps
  • Unfortunately, shampooing more will make it worst. When you shampoo, you strip your scalp of its natural oils and doing it more often will cause your scalp to overproduction sebum to make up for it. Also, don't stop conditioning, just put the conditioner on your ends. Try using a dry shampoo in the mean time, or baking soda if youre wanting to stay away from any chemicals. It will absorb the oil instead of completely stripping it out.
  • Me too! My hair has been very oily and I hope it doesn't stay that way for the whole 9 months. I read that your hair grows faster during pregnancy so that is one symptom that I'm looking forward too :)
  • I may have to try the baking soda thing - I'm desperate! I've also tried leaving it wavy... But even with that there are just these gross patches. Praying this doesn't last the next 7+ months!
  • Also, sympathy on the burning nipples - ouch!
  • Yay someone else who shares my struggle! It takes half a day and my hair is so oily and greasy! The only other time I had this issue was with my DD's pregnancy, my hair was great with DS lol
