Update on GirlPipley Update #3 in OP

If there is anyone still here who remembers her, she's been in and out of the hospital for PROM with her twins. She has fought valiantly for her babies, but despite of all efforts, she is currently in l&d, about two weeks shy of the earliest possible viability her hospital could quote her. Please keep her and her husband in your thoughts during this difficult time. If she provides any updates I'll pass them along. Thank you.

Update #1: She just checked in about five minutes ago: The prolapsed cord has now retracted. Something her doctors say they've never seen before. Both babies have heartbeats, although A's periodically dips low, it comes back up. She has made them hold off on the pitocin for now. So we're all just holding our breath right now.

Update #2: She had a quiet night. Her red blood cell count is down a bit from all the bleeding, it's really amazing she hasn't had this problem before, so in her words, she'll probably be having a "bag o' blood for breakfast". But the contractions she was having calmed down, and so far everyone's numbers are staying stable. She's waiting to hear more once the doctors finish all their rounds and have a meeting. But she woke up still pregnant this morning, and for that we're all grateful. I know she appreciate everyone's thoughts and prayers.

Update #3: Things appear to be at an end. They lost baby A earlier today and I think they were going to try to see if they could save baby B, but A's cord has prolapsed again and she's passing blood again. Induction will either happen tonight or 6am tomorrow. Just devastating.

I haven't heard anything in about an hour, but baby A's cord was coming out when they checked her, prompting them to take her to l&d. I don't think there's anything more they can do at this point.
