devastating news at 18 week ultra sound:((

I went in for my level 2 ultrasound 2 days ago,blood work prior was absolutely perfect, I was thirlled we we going to find out if was girl or boy, only to be told this baby is incompatible with life, chromosome 13 n showed major deformities on ultrasound if I carry on the baby will pass after delivery:(( I have no words I can not stop crying, nor did I ever think this would happen, giving a 1 percent chance, I was the 1 percent.

I'm so very sorry. This happened to a friend of mine at 20 weeks. To give you hope she went on to get pregnant again 8 weeks after the abortion and had a healthy baby girl. Such a devastating ordeal, I'm so sorry.

Thought and prayers are with you, With my second child we were told the chances of having a ds baby were about 99%. I under went alot of test just so we could be prepared, every week from then on out I never really listened or accepted what they were saying. My Husband and I chose to keep out miracle baby and had faith and strong prayer through our pregnancy. On February 7, 2013 I deliver via csection the healthiest little girl! She just turned two yesterday and couldn't be healthier! May God be with you on this journey remember this was never your fault and in no way are you broken. Things always happen for a reason, sending lots of love rest and prayers for you as you make this hard decision. I cannot imagine this all over again!

I am so sorry you are going through this. My husband and I had a similar thing happen last year - we found out our baby had a severe deformity that was 100% incapable with life. We made the incredibly hard decision to terminate the pregnancy - in the end we felt it was less traumatic for the baby and for us to do this at an earlier stage than to lose our baby at birth. Please take as much personal time as you need to figure out what you need to do. It's the hardest thing I've ever been through, but lean on the people you trust most and you will make it through. T&Ps
