Statistically, yes. I don't know many IRL, but I'm guessing in a few years we'll see more little Liams running around.
It kills me because I've liked this name for a long time and it has significant meaning to me. Now I'm trying to decide whether to use it or stick with Will (either would be nn for William). I can get over popularity if it's a classic, but trendiness bothers me, and I'm afraid it'll end up being viewed as one of those trendy names. It is popular, but the number of people using the name is less than, say, the #1 name in the 1980s. My son's name is Liam, but he's the only one in his daycare class with that name.
I love it. If our LO is a boy, he will be William nn Liam. He'll also be a fifth. My husband goes by Will, his father goes by the middle name, and his grandfather goes by Bill.
