What are you doing this cycle? Are you seeking help with a fertility specialist (RE)? If so, what stage are you in? Charting/temping? Testing? Medicated cycles? IUI? IVF? DE? We are working with an RE, 5DPIUI. Progesterone looked good at test yesterday (9.4, they told me looking for above 3). Also my lining looked good. 4. Where are you in your cycle? (Waiting to O, 2WW etc) If in the 2ww when will you test?
Testing will be Feb. 11- long enough to get trigger out of my system 5. How do you feel about this cycle? (Are you hopeful, anxious... etc) I am more and more hopeful. The nurse calling me with yesterday's results told me not to worry about my contingency plan because it will work. Love that office and their optimism. I need to inject some of that too. QOTW: if you got an extra hour to put somewhere in your day where would you put it and why? I love the walkability of my community. Lots of shops, restaurants, movie theater, and farmer's market. I dislike this community's snow removal system. They are so slow and surrounding community roads are so much better when it snows! as far as a state, I love the lakes and natural areas. I dislike our roads. They are the worst in the US. I'm pretty sure that's an official ranking. Feel free to add any vents or shout outs.
Vent: I'm not liking the new layout on my PC I also hope our little community rebounds from the shake-up. I understand why people left and I understand why people stayed too.
3. Charting and temping and hoping to have lots of sex at the right time.
4. Waiting to O - CD1 - BOO
5. I don't really know how I feel anymore. Ready to give up maybe. This would be the point where I could go get some medical intervention but H is squarely against it. He has said that he does not want to do any testing or anything extra and if I'm not pregnant by my birthday (July 15) then we are done. I'm pretty bummed because that date gets ever closer.
QOTW: What is the best thing about where you live? The worst?
I live in a small town in Central IL - the best is probably that it's small but close to bigger areas so I only have to go 5 to 10 minutes to get to everything. The worst is the teenagers in my town - they're all punks. I guess that's showing my age, but when did parents quit teaching their children to respect other peoples property?
1. Your Name or Screen Name (not full names) and State you are from. WinoGrrl - WI
2. How long have you been TTC? Are you TTC #1,#2,#3, etc.? TTC#1 cycle 7
3. What are you doing this cycle? Are you seeking help with a fertility specialist (RE)? If so, what stage are you in? Charting/temping? Testing? Medicated cycles? IUI? IVF? DE? Temping / OPK
4. Where are you in your cycle? (Waiting to O, 2WW etc) If in the 2ww when will you test? Waiting to O
5. How do you feel about this cycle? (Are you hopeful, anxious... etc) Nothing really - have my consult appointment next week so I feel like this cycle is kind of just time to relax and have fun - no stressing. We'll see what next week brings!
QOTW: What is the best thing about where you live? The worst?
Best: Summer / Spring / Fall -- the seasons are (usually) awesome. There is so much going on all the time for smaller sized city we have. And people in general are nice and friendly
Winter. I can handle snow. I can't handle the freezing cold and the nonstop gray.
1. Your Name or Screen Name (not full names) and State you are from. Dina, CA
2. How long have you been TTC? Are you TTC #1,#2,#3, etc.? TTC#1 This is our 8th month trying.
3. What are you doing this cycle? Are you seeking help with a fertility specialist (RE)? If so, what stage are you in? Charting/temping? Testing? Medicated cycles? IUI? IVF? DE? Charting, opk, monitor, acupuncture, herbs, did bloodwork--all pretty normal, meeting with an RE on 2/25.
4. Where are you in your cycle? (Waiting to O, 2WW etc) If in the 2ww when will you test? I believe I'm 9 dpo. I'm guessing AF will show Sunday or Monday. I guess I'll test after that, but I'm not too hopeful. 5. How do you feel about this cycle? (Are you hopeful, anxious... etc) I've rebounded from feeling really down. I'm starting to get hopeful but trying really hard not to since our timing was pretty shitty since I kind of gave up this cycle. It's amazing how long four days can feel when you are waiting to ovulate, it felt so long that I thought I just never ovulated. I need to have some more perseverance and just wait it out. QOTW: What is the best thing about where you live? The worst? Well, San Francisco is great. The weather is kind of amazing and I can walk/ride my bike to lots of restaurants, dance class, work, grocery store. It's a pretty charmed life, especially with having no kids. The worst thing, well probably the cost of living here.
Feel free to add any vents or shout outs.
I agree with kindershlitz, the new layout is ugly and I feel offended by the font.

4. Currently on CD 8
5. Hopeful about this cycle as always. Please please please let this month be THE month :-D
QOTW: The best thing about where I live is the fact that its on the coast near the beach and that its a small town so you get that really nice sense of community. The worst thing would be the tourists in the summer since there is only 1 real road into town from the bigger city and it gets super backed up and traffic is terrible.
Vent: I'm on a reduced schedule at work (27 hour weeks) but just got my hours projection through April and they have me working upwards of 40-50 hours some weeks. I'm Salary so we don't clock in and out... but this kind of crap makes me want to quit.
1. Your Name or Screen Name (not full names) and State you are from.
Dolphin012 from CA 2. How long have you been TTC? Are you TTC #1,#2,#3, etc.?
TTC #1 since Nov 2012 (w/ 8 month break in there).
3. What are you doing this cycle? Are you seeking help with a fertility specialist (RE)? If so, what stage are you in? Charting/temping? Testing? Medicated cycles? IUI? IVF? DE?
Charting/temping and the rest natural ttc.
4. Where are you in your cycle? (Waiting to O, 2WW etc) If in the 2ww when will you test?
CD3
5. How do you feel about this cycle? (Are you hopeful, anxious... etc)
Don't really have high expectations that it is going to happen naturally at this point. Although i still manage to always get hopeful as the month progresses
QOTW: What is the best thing about where you live? The worst?
I am fortunate to live in a really cool place- a very very small community up in the mountains. Probably the best thing is being able to walk out my front door and go hiking and backpacking in some pretty spectacular places. The worst is also the best at times. I live 2 hrs from any amenities - i love being that far from grocery stores, targets and all the consumerism, lights and cement that goes with it. But it can be challenging for medical things, especially fertility appts. Two hour drive and then the medical care is really poor. So i usually drive 6 hrs to the 'big city'.
Feel free to add any vents or shout outs.
Me (42) w/ partner for 16+ years
TTC #1: 11/2012 - 9/2013; 6/2014 - present
Follistim + TI (3x): All BFNs
Follistim + IUI (1x): BFN
IVF #1: 17 retrieved,15 fertilized, Day 3: 15, Day 5/6: 3 biopsied
Marie/Indiana TTC#1 since June 2013 Typical...charting/tempting/opk Possibly 5DPO, but FF isn't committing to it and my temps never spikes up as high as normal. So maybe I did not O. I did get a positive opk though. But while I was WTO I had a cold with fever and now getting a UTI, so body's all messed up this cycle.
How do I feel? Losing hope all around. We have't gone to an RE cuz MH still thinks it'll happen. Kinda depressed cuz I set up an OBGYN appointment with a new doc back in July for this March....it was her first availability...I thought at the time that I would surely be PG by then and need something sooner....joke was on me I guess.
I forgot what I like about where I live....unfortunately can't think of much. We live near Chicago which is nice but I really only get there for work.....taxes are lower then il. I hate the winter though!
1. Your Name or Screen Name (not full names) and State you are from. Heather (EmsMama15) from MN
2. How long have you been TTC? Are you TTC #1,#2,#3, etc.? TTC #2 since July (with a 2+ month break)
3. What are you doing this cycle? Are you seeking help with a fertility specialist (RE)? If so, what stage are you in? Charting/temping? Testing? Medicated cycles? IUI? IVF? DE? IUI #2, I took Femara + Menopur (150) and then went in for an ultrasound - only had one maturing follie, which was so disappointing because I was taking the darn Menopur shot to mature more than one given my age (40). So, I did another shot of Menopur that night and ultrasound the next morning - still only one little follie. So, I triggered that night and did my IUI. It only takes one. Progesterone supps since. Also started CoQ10 this month and taking various other vitamins and supplements after reading "It Starts with the Egg."
4. Where are you in your cycle? (Waiting to O, 2WW etc) If in the 2ww when will you test? 8 dpiui. Beta on Monday. Not sure if I'll take a HPT before I go in or not.
5. How do you feel about this cycle? (Are you hopeful, anxious... etc) Hopeful. I'm not having any symptoms, but frankly I had NO symptoms until 6 weeks with my daughter, so I find that to be more reassuring than if I did have symptoms. Having a plan for next cycle (we'll do all injectables) has actually made me feel more calm during this TWW. It's so unlike me, but I've been refusing to talk about the next month until after I have gotten a BFN. I really think this has worsened my anxiety the last several months. So, I'm feeling hopeful, but also happy knowing we have a plan to change things up and be more aggressive next month.
QOTW: What is the best thing about where you live? The worst?
The best: I really love Minnesota for the most part. I grew up on 200 acres in the country, so when my hubby and I found our house, I fell in love. We have a huge back yard that backs up to a park reserve (so we'll never have houses behind us). We have deer and tons of birds and other creatures that hang around on a daily basis. Our neighbors aren't right on top of us. And yet, Target is five minutes away. The best of all worlds!!
The worst: it was -6 this morning. I don't even mind snow, I just hate the freaking cold!
Feel free to add any vents or shout outs.
A quick shout out to all our new members! I haven't been commenting on intro posts this week because I've been crazy busy at work and exhausted when I get home - probably this cold coming on. But welcome to all! This is a great board -- but I hope your stays are short!!

Waiting on O. Most likely be mid next week when I O.
5. How do you feel about this cycle? (Are you hopeful, anxious... etc)
At this point 6 months in I am just like whatever now. I guess discouraged, though it did take 8 month to conceive my first and I was 19.
QOTW: What is the best thing about where you live? The worst?
Best NO STATE Taxes. WOOHOO! Then the beaches and hot weather. The worst. Beaches and Hot weather. It is great this time of year when VA (where I lived all my life) is very cold and we are in the 70s. But UGH, the humidity of summer is death. We have the best beaches down the east coast here. Something about Gulf of Mexico beaches. Then I hate leaving in a high tourist area so the summer suck getting to the beach. I typically like going to the beach at night when it is deserted and I can really enjoy the peace and sounds of the water hitting the shore.
1. Your Name or Screen Name (not full names) and State you are from.

2. How long have you been TTC? Are you TTC #1,#2,#3, etc.?
TTC #3+ Since our FET ended up nonviable with D&C surgery in May 2012, we can only use IVF/ICSI/PESA to have biological children
3. What are you doing this cycle? Are you seeking help with a fertility specialist (RE)? If so, what stage are you in? Charting/temping? Testing? Medicated cycles? IUI? IVF? DE?
Just had the extensive and expensive one day pre-testing out of state at a "big clinic" for potential IVF/ICSI #4. If the RE allows me to still use my own eggs we are looking at an "aggressive protocol with priming". He will not give an exact plan until he has my Day 3 results from my February AF which needs to be run by their lab. He also needs to the results all of the other tests they ran that day and then we will regroup by via phone with next steps IF they take us on as a complicated case. Plus DH will need a fresh PESA since the RE said that was our best chance giving us a 50% chance of success of having a take home baby(ies) this number is only with the addition of CCS testing of the embryos and FET. My previous clinics give us only a 10%-15% chance of success so that is a large difference!
4. Where are you in your cycle? (Waiting to O, 2WW etc) If in the 2ww when will you test?
Waiting for February AF to have my Day 3 labs run by the "big clinic"
5. How do you feel about this cycle? (Are you hopeful, anxious... etc)
The cost is sickening, this is our last stop and I am nervous it will not go forward. I am also overwhelmed at the thought of traveling out of state for treatment potentially two more times, I would have to travel there Day 5 or 6 of stims and stay until the end and then again arrive the day before and stay two days after for FET.
QOTW: What is the best thing about where you live? The worst?
The best, the beautiful mountains, nature, privacy and wild life. The worst, good food is about a 6 hour drive each way

@sonpetitlapin - 70 degrees sounds divine. I would say 65 to 75 degrees is just about my perfect temperature range. I don't think I could handle the Florida summers though. Minnesota humidity is bad enough!!

Cautiously optimistic. I am very hopeful about this cycle... We did 2 rounds Thursday and Friday and I'm taking the Progesterone so I hope thats the magic formula QOTW: What is the best thing about where you live? The worst?
The best is the weather and the sun the beach, the diversity in everything. I've been out here for 15 years and can't imagine moving back to the East coast. The worst is all the people and the awful traffic. Taking almost 2 hours to go 15 miles during rush hour is a nightmare!
Feel free to add any vents or shout outs.
@kinderschlitz Sorry it's taking so long these days to respond to posts. At work I only have a few minutes here and there so I only get a chance to click "Love It" till I get home and veg on the couch before bed. Is your beta on the 11th? or are you going to take a HPT? So excited for you! Fingers crossed!
@emsmama I'm cheering on you 1 STRONG follie! Go little one go!
Good luck today @happyktmom ! Hope everything looks good for you both.
@Teenie16 I'm teasing you sorry things are hectic but at least your mind is off testing! I don't have a beta scheduled. They just said test 2/11 and call with results. I might cheat but don't want to get my hopes up with a + just from the trigger.
@kindershlitz, everyone is different, but I tested out my trigger a couple of cycles and it was gone by 7 days post-trigger. You could test now and if you get a negative, then you'd know it was real later. Sorry, I shouldn't encourage you to cheat. I'm struggling with whether to test on Sunday with a HPT so I'm not totally blindsided at work with a negative beta. We shall see.
@emsmama15 I like the cheating encouragement! I'm such a goody-goody. I have cheap Wondfos anyway. I'll see if I get a negative tomorrow. Hope you test Sunday

(Are you hopeful, anxious... etc)
Hopeful. I'm not having any symptoms, but frankly I had NO symptoms until 6 weeks with my daughter, so I find that to be more reassuring than if I did have symptoms.

The cost is sickening, this is our last stop and I am nervous it will not go forward. I am also overwhelmed at the thought of traveling out of state for treatment potentially two more times, I would have to travel there Day 5 or 6 of stims and stay until the end and then again arrive the day before and stay two days after for FET.
QOTW: What is the best thing about where you live? The worst?
