Hi Everyone,

So, AF was due to arrive Monday (now Wednesday and nothing!), I usually have a 24 day cycle.  I went a little crazy with POAS in the week leading up to AF suspected arrival and get getting BFNs.  Now that I know I am late I am nervous!  I have had very tender breasts and some cramping that doesn't feel like menstrual cramping.  I have had cramps mostly on the left side and all day yesterday kind of a sharp pain (on and off) in the inner hip.  Still lots of CM.  The last time I tested was Saturday (CD12), got a BFN and then found out that night that 2 of my friends are pregnant and were not TTC.  Anyways to get to the point, Its killing me not knowing but as I said, very nevous to actually test.  Has anyone had a BFN on 16DPO or later followed by a BFP?

  • How do you know you are late? Do you mean you are 16 DPO? If so, how do you know that? Do you temp?

  • With my first 2 I got BFNs until 15 dpo with charting my temps. You'll only know if you take a test.

I would recommend temping. More than likely, you ovulated later this month. Ovulation can happen at different times each month even if your cycles have always been regular. Temping is the only way to pin point EXACTLY when you ovulate. You can pair that with using OPK's. The instructions in the box will tell you which day to start temping based on your average cycle length. OPK's will only detect an LH surge though which can happen multiple times in a cycle. I would test once a week until you either get a +HPT, AF, or you reach 60 days and in that case, I would recommend seeing a doctor to find out how you can jumpstart your period.
