Yeah I'm a wimp when it comes to the fatigue and feel like the laziest wife/mom ever! It just hit me at about 7.5 weeks. I feel terrible because all I want to do is sleep. Keeping up with my 1 year old daughter seems impossible and the smell of coffee makes me sick. I don't remember being this tired with my daughter. I just am counting down the weeks until the second trimester. I sound/feel like a sad country song right now.
The weather has been so incredibly sucky here lately that I've been wánting to go out for walks but just haven't managed to actually kick myself to go outside. There's just no fun taking a stroll out in pouring rain, battling stormy weather or now hail and wet snow meh. While I do long for the fresh air.. I don't like being cooped inside for too long. Sometimes I stick my head outside of the door for some much needed fresh air and the cold does wake me up a little heh. Maybe I'll just have to dress myself for the rain/hail/whatever and just GO OUTSIDE after all.. I think it would actually do me good.
I'm secretly also glad to read that I'm not the only one who works from home and gets somewhat behind on their work and schedule cause of the fatigue! Makes me feel less alone in this. The hubs is a champ and while he initially didn't get the fatigue (nor the crankyness that came with it) he is real sweet about it now and tells me not to worry to much about work cause I'll catch back up once I'm feeling more energetic (can't wait for the second trimester to start!) but it's still not the same, right?
I've just adapted to being tired all the time. I make it the best I can at work, but fidn a lot of times I'm falling asleep at my desk. if this happens I try to get up and walk around for a few minutes and sometimes it helps. I am just patiently awaiting the 2nd tri where I hear you are supposed to get some energy back. I am sure my DH will be happy because he says all I do is sleep now LOL
I haven't had horrible fatigue, but I have struggled through some days. It seems to help me when I go for a walk or do some light working out. Also, making sure I'm breathing deeply and fully seems to help. It's easy to get in a habit of not breathing fully with all the stress and worries of being pregnant, so I'll catch myself sometimes in that.
I had tons of energy until today. I am 6wks. I was a little tired but ran 30 miles total last week (some in the extreme cold) and today I can barely move. I exercised with weights for an hour but then slept the rest of the day. I started feeling sickness but trying to forget about it and drink lots of water, eat natural foods and crackers. I work from home a lot but my office is over an hour away and I'll need to go 2x this week. Now just worried of falling asleep driving when I go...
Re: How are you personally dealing with the fatigue?
