  • Good look to everyone!

I am either 11 dpo or 7dpo today.  FF says 7 but I think I may have o'd earlier than FF thinks.  My temps have been super wonky this cycle.

As for symptoms, I've had nausea, some mild cramping/achiness, my back hurts today but I shoveled snow yesterday.  I did spot just a little late last night so not sure what that was about.

I'm probably going to go with FF's dates and test at the end of the week.  Unless I can't wait then I'll go buy some dollar tree tests.  :)

  • Well I'm finally convinced I'm squarely in the TWW. CD23.  According to ff I ovulated on cd 16. Which might be why my progesterone was so low in my tests, bc it was only like 4dpo. So I'm weirdly encouraged. Temps are high. But I've been duped before, so trying really hard to just not hope or believe anything.
Other than that, no symptoms. @suziq1978, I'm stalking your chart daily! Keeps me from thinking about mine so much!~

  • @Dwmmwd - your temps look awesome.  FX for them staying up high.  Stalk my chart all you want.  I'm not convinced that I o'd on cd20 like FF says.  I'm thinking I may have o'd on cd 16.  It's all a waiting game now.  Good luck to you!

  • I am leaning more towards CD 16 for you too. I also think your coverline is a lot lower than what it is showing due to you being sick and those high temps.

  • Thanks for the well wishes and starting this @sonpetitlapin‌! Good luck @‌suziq1978!
@Dwmmwd‌ Is your appointment to go over bloodwork today or tomorrow? I was thinking it was soon.

    Child mentioned
I was supposed to have an u/s today but I cancelled because of child care issues (we received over a foot of snow yesterday and into the early morning). So I'll be going tomorrow to confirm ovulation. I didn't track anything myself this cycle but I believe based on the trigger, O was Saturday. Normally TWWs have lost their excitement for me but I'm terribly anxious this time around. Officially testing Feb. 11.

I don't know how to do GIFs but I like them. On some random post someone did the Saved By the Bell, Jesse Spano 'I'm so excited' scene. That made me laugh and stuck in my brain.
  • @sonpetitlapin - I agree.  I think FF got confused because of those high temps and then I had some dips as well.  I was looking back at my last couple of cycles and I'm pretty consistent with o on cd16.  I might test with some dollar trees over the next couple days.  Past cycles have had a 10/11 day lp so if I don't get af today testing in the morning could be validated.  :)
    <a href="http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/5677e2">My Ovulation Chart</a>
  • I'm going to say I'm in my 2ww just because I'm mid cycle. I don't chart anymore so it's always a guessing game for me. I am CD10 of a usual 22ish day cycle. We only had sex yesterday so I hope O'd yesterday or today. Had left sided pain so that's good. DH hasn't had much interest in sex lately so it's hard on me. I asked all last week and he didn't want to. Last month he kept loosing his erection so I know that's why he doesn't want to. He did fine last night so maybe I will try again tomorrow.

Good luck to our three IUI's. It is three right. Let us know when you all will be testing.

  • I'm CD23 and 7dpo although the I could be 11dpo as FF could have messed up. My temps have been up and down, I am super bloated, sore boobs, breaking out and bad and was a little crampy today but these are all normal for me post-O. I'm planning on waiting until day of expected period to test.

With my first 2 children, I didn't track cycle symptoms and really had no clue when i ovulated. I had just come off birth control and somehow managed to get pregnant the 2nd month of TTC with my first and the 1st month TTC with my 2nd. I did some research on ovulation and we did it on days 10, 12, 14 and 16 of my cycle and that worked with both kids. It definitely hasn't been that easy this go around. We haven't been doing the BD dilegently as we should. We've decided to only try for one more month as my hubby is going to get snipped which I'm ok with. I'm glad he agreed to try for a few months as I was always on the fence for a 3rd and feel like we are letting fate decide and if it's meant to be, it will. If it doesn't happen, at least my DH agreed to give it a go and for that I'll always be thankful for.

    Good luck ladies!!
  • I think I o'ed today so just heading into tww
  • TWW here, 5 dpiui...and post-ovulation, I think. I'm trying to stay positive about this cycle. :) symptoms - nothing yet, except I'm breaking out like a teenager. Must be all the hormone swings with the meds. Ugh! I'll have a beta in one week, on 2/9! I love GIFs but have no idea how to post them. :). GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!

As far as "symptoms" the girls are very sensitive, but that happens from time to time before AF.

Other than that my only aches and pains are from the gym, so if there are any other symptoms they hidden by gym torture. Lol!

  • 6 or 8 dpo depending on whether I trust my crappy temping or cbfm. Think I will wait till ff recommended test date since I m pretty nervous after last time. Had first appt with RE and felt a bit wham bam thank you mam- basically 8 min of face time with dr running rapid fire through her spiel then nurse then fin counsellor everyone saying any question any questions and continuing on without pause. Kind of a bummer. Makes me wonder if I should seek out a naturopath to at least get second opinions. I don't want to be pushed into treatments. I also started prog cream this morning (got the ok from re although she said it's too low of a dose to do much) so I'm kinda nervous about potential side effects from that and whether I should be doing it at all. And finally I went overboard at whole foods in getting sulfate free /paraben free organic shampoo and soap just in case I should be detoxing my system in hopes that will help with ttc. Long shot, I know. Guess I'm turning into a big hippie here. :) btw how do you guys share/stalk your charts? Weirdly have had ear ringing lately and occasional bloating.
  • @ladydc78‌ that's disappointing about your RE visit. Is that the only option in your area? It might be worth trying another place.
  • @kindershlitz‌ there are other options (live in wash dc area) but these guys are supposed to be the best -shady grove fertility-and they clearly know their stuff - just feels a bit assembly line for my taste. I think I will get through the initial diag tests and then decide whether or not to stay. Am seriously considering ctm/accupuncture/naturopath - wonder if anyone on this board has any experience with one ?
  • Well I'm officially out of the TWW as af started this morning. BOOOO!
    <a href="http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/5677e2">My Ovulation Chart</a>
  • @ladydc78 are they the best because of word of mouth?  I know I heard the Shady Grove commercials all the time on the radio when I lived up there.

  • @suziq78 Yuck :( sorry!

@ladydc78 I did acupuncture and loved it.  However since we are moving forward with fertility treatments, we decided to put our money towards that.  We just couldn't afford it all.  Maybe some other people might have a recommendation in your area, it was suggested to me to post on the IF board requesting recs.  I was uncomfortable with that but you could try the PG after 35 board.  I ended up going with a rec from my OB because I had no clue.  Someone on here recommended hers in my area.  We have both been pleased with our practices- but we are in Detroit so that helps you none. It might be worth a consult somewhere else.  You have to go so often if you start an action plan, it helps to like the office with which you're working.
  • @ladydc78 - I'm going to Boston IVF and they recommend acupuncture. I have a follow-up consult after all my blood work comes back and I plan to talk with my doctor about it. A friend of mine went to Boston IVF as well and she did acupuncture, and got pregnant on her 2nd IVF try. She also told me that a friend of hers tried it and ended up getting pregnant without IVF. Of course everyone is different, but it seems like a lot of people have success with it.

@ladydc78‌ I have been doing acupuncture for years for non TTC issues. And love it. Last year, after a few months of TTC, I starred getting acupuncture for fertility. And back in November I switched to an acupuncturist that specializes in fertility. I love it and have seen the benefits in other parts of my health... but I'm still here. I wouldn't do acupuncture in place of an RE.
Sorry your appointment didn't go well. I.would definitely look for another one that you are comfortable with.

  • @ladydc78 - I'm sorry, I meant to respond to your post about acupuncture.  I think it has a place in TTC.  I've been doing it since October.  Do I think that alone will get me pregnant?  I have PCOS, so definitely no.  But, it has helped IMMENSELY with my anxiety and stress level.  The other day, my acupuncturist threw out there that IF I took a break, she'd like to work with me doing herbs and other things to try to get me in a better place for TTC before I went back to my RE.  I'm not sure I want to take a break, but I'm thinking if we have a few more BFNs, I might do it.

So, what I'm trying to say is that I think acupuncture can help with TTC, but like @Teenie16 said, I wouldn't ever do it in PLACE of a RE.  I'd try to get past Shady Grove being the "best" and see if you can get an appointment somewhere else.  When I met my RE, I left his office knowing that he would get me pregnant.  I think that's how everyone should feel.  They should take time to learn your whole history and get a feel for what's going on with YOU.  Reproductive Endocrinology cannot be a one size fits all deal.  Just my two cents.  Best of luck!

  • Wow great to hear people have had such pos experiences with accupuncture ! Makes me want to try it no matter how ttc goes. I totally agree that I would not do it instead of RE, only in addition -lots of wise women here. Obviously depends on how costs of everything start to go up I probably can't have everything. I guess I shouldn't say that RE is 'the best' only that it has an extremely high success rate which is why I went there but of course who knows how they count these things. I will def keep researching and meanwhile hoping for a bfp soon!
  • @ladydc, do you have any insurance coverage for acupuncture?  I can do 12 sessions at 80/20 (so I pay $11.30).  Otherwise, do you have a card for pre-tax health spending -- I think it's called flexible health care spending?  My card can be used for that as well.  So, I've already used 5 of my 12 sessions for the year - going weekly as it keeps me SANE - but I'm justifying it by thinking I can use my card even if I have to pay full price (for mine, full price is $75).  Good luck!!

@emsmama15‌ yeah I ve been checking into the insur stuff -amazingly hard to figure out we have -geha/united ppo but so far can only find conflicting info on whether they cover acu . I wish the insur co s didn't make it such a guessing game. Also realizing they don't cover Ivf makes me think we should switch to md ipo just in case but that wouldn't be till open season next October . Btw sorry for the grammar errors - we don't have internets at home so I use iphone only and am not much of a speed texter. :P
