We too were hoping for a certain sex, we have girls and really wanted a boy but all along we had a feeling we would get a girl lol! And sure enough it is girl!! We are very excited and were very mindful that we are blessed to be able to have babies and whether it's was a girl or boy we really truly most importantly want a healthy baby! We will name her Maddison Claire Kaegi.... We love you Maddi!!!!
Had my scan last Friday, and we are having a mama's boy! :x Ultrasound tech had a hard time getting a peek because he kept hiding his goods (my little gentleman.... hahaha)
The U/S tech found amniotic fluid in baby's belly, which my Dr explained could be one of two things: either little one just took a gulp of amniotic fluid before the ultrasound tech had a look, or baby may have a narrowed stomach resulting in a delayed ability to pass the fluid. She explained that she doesn't think this is the case, because my fluid level is normal (it would be low since baby can't pass the fluid as quickly) and babies with this condition tend to have air in their stomachs (my little babe doesn't). I will probably be scheduled for another ultrasound to see if the fluid is passing so I remain hopeful but nervous. Worst case scenario is at birth, baby will need meds to relax the stomach sphincter and/or a tiny surgery to stretch out the area a bit.
Otherwise, my beautiful son is as healthy as can be. One happy mama.

BFP September 2014!
Thankful for a great scan. Not sure about percentiles, but the tech used the words 'perfect' and 'beautiful' quite a bit. Long arms and legs, but no surprise there; I'm 5'10 and SO is 6'2. Plus, she had us look away when examining the baby's bladder so we are still team green. Might have heard her say "his" when describing something, but SO says she didn't so my mind may be playing tricks on me.
I had my anatomy scan today and confirmed that we are indeed having a baby girl it took about twenty minutes to get her to uncross her legs and wake up so we could see between her legs. The ultrasound tech said she is weighing at 14 ounces and everything looks healthy. She was sucking on her thumb and just napping away. Can't wait until she arrives!!
So excited I finally got my scan today and baby was perfectly healthy and right on track in every area. We also found out we are having a girl and I'm very excited. This is our first and maybe last due to medical reasons but we are so happy!
Team Blue! So happy and excited! Praise God everything looks great with him and he's measuring right on his dating. We couldn't be more excited since we got to bring family in to the ultrasound for the big reveal. I gave everyone high-fives while lying on the table when they pointed out LO's "goods." The ultrasound tech said,"there's no doubt that's a boy" lol. I still can't believe it's real. We are all so blessed and lucky to be experiencing this!
Had our scan yesterday and it's a boy! Actually my husband and I had a feeling it was a boy from the beginning so we weren't surprised. Would have preferred a girl if possible since we have so many boys on both sides of our family, but I've had time already to think about the pluses of having a son and I'm ok with it now. It's the first child for us and probably the only one we'll have time for since I'm already 40. Though my OB is perfectly nice and doesn't make a big deal about my age, the dr at my ultrasound made a bad impression on me by making snap judgements based on my age and being pushy about the genetic counseling/screening, even though I already declined it before our appointment. They were so pushy trying to sell us on that, that they were only lukewarm about telling me there were no structural abnormalities on the ultrasound, and so I came out of it feeling more like complaining than celebrating. But an ultrasound without any obvious problems, even without a genetic screening to confirm a lack of problems, is good news, right?
Team pink! I really wanted a boy as a first born since it's all I've known all throughout my family, cousins, hubby's family, etc. But we are super thrilled and decided that maybe we would have been super upset if we never got a girl. So we will take one now! Having fun shopping Carter's onesies on sale and clearance at target in girly prints. Only spent $15 so far. Trying to be in control but girl stuff is so cute! If anyone has any recommendations on headband or headband bow places to get them super cheap please let me know. Happy for all you mommas, team blues, greens and pinks!
We had our scan this morning-it's a girl! Note to other mamas-my sister had told me to drink oj before to get baby moving and I drank a pretty large glass about 30 mins before and she was too squirmy! The ultrasound tech had a hard time getting good pictures and I have to go back in 2 weeks to get a better look at heart and face. I'm okay with that though, I am excited to see her again! Plus it was awesome to see her moving so much! Everything that they could get clearly looked healthy. I was surprised when she told me they were going to do an external and then internal to check my cervix. She had me empty my bladder before doing the internal and that made my uterus contract a bit so it looked like I had a low-laying placenta from the internal. They will check that again in 2 weeks as well
Just got done with mine. A lot of stuff hard to see. One thing concerning about the lip. Also did not see sex. I go back in 5 weeks to try again. Hope LO is ok.
Had mine this am, I'm team green with twins and 20 weeks tomorrow. Both babies are 12oz, and very active! Everything looks great! Congrats to everyone!
It's a boy!!! And he is not shy!! The tech went to the "booty shot" and said "I'll let you guys guess what it is!". CLEARLY a boy!! DH said "can we get a picture of that?!!". We are over the moon excited!!! I'm laying in bed right now and he's moving so much... Can't wait to meet my little handsome man.
Had mine yesterday! Measurements looked great, baby looked great! And it's a girl! We both had a feeling It was so magical to see her moving around and put her hands up to her face. So in love. We are going to name her Harper Joyce.
We found out on Wednesday that it is a healthy, perfectly coming along, baby girl!!! My parents and SO really wanted a girl, I just wanted 10 fingers and 10 toes so I'm happy they got what they wanted! My dad said "payback". Was I really that bad?!? Can't wait for our little duchess to arrive!
We just finished our scan. He's still a BOY! And everything is perfect! So thankful that everything is developing on track. He's weighing in at 1 pound 5 oz. So he's a little chubby Can't wait to meet our sweet Judah in June!
Finally had my scan this morning!! We are cooking a healthy baby GIRL!!!!!!!! ETA tipping the scales at 13 oz and we got a pic of her sucking her thumb (feels so crazy to say SHE!! We were team green with DD1 so it was always "it" and "baby"...this is cool!)
Had our scan today. It's a boy! He is perfect! Found out I have a low placenta. Hoping it changes as I'm only 20 weeks. Fingers crossed. Feeling so blessed to have a healthy baby boy!
Found out last Friday that we are having a sweet little perfect baby boy!!! EDD is June 20th and his face is just so perfect. This is our first and we couldn't be more proud. Also an anterior placenta so still waiting for definite movements, but sweet man was moving around a lot at the scan. He sucked his thumb, gave us a thumbs up, and kept opening his mouth! So so perfect and so so blessed.
Had our anatomy scan today (finally!) - baby girl is perfect and healthy and ACTIVE! Like her big brother, she hated the ultrasound - kept trying to move away, then totally locked up. We have to go back to get another photo of the heart, but the doctor who came in and looked said it looked healthy, they just would like the photo to be sure.
She kept her legs crossed at the ankle (so cute!), and the tech saw the "three white lines" that most girls have, and said that she'd been looking for the penis throughout all the other times she was doing the scan of the lower parts, and didn't see one, so although she told us to "save our receipts," she was pretty sure it was a girl. We're so excited!
