Brummy14: Cerclage surgery went well. Doc said no walking more than 2 city blocks at a time which is hard considering she's pretty active.

It did it again today where it won't let me copy and paste unless I just do a couple of lines at a time. I hope everyone is well!
She basically left it up to me whether or not to take the P17 shots. She thought I was close enough to 34 weeks with DD and that it wouldn't make a difference either way. She said not to worry too much about the decision because it wasn't "life or death." She admitted she wasn't a fan of the shots but she didn't want to bias my decision.
So I'm basically torn. Leaning towards getting them to play it safe but even my H doesn't want me getting them so I'm feeling a little unsupported.
Any thoughts, opinions, advice on the matter?
I am convinced that the shots were the reasons I went FT. DS was a 26 weeker after I had PROM at 24 weeks. My cervix started to shorten at 21 weeks and was pretty much non-existent by the time I hit 28 weeks. However, it stayed closed and I actually had to be induced at 39 weeks and 4 days since I did not show any signs of going into labor. My BFF was basically told the same thing you were since her preemie was close to FT (35 weeks). Her 2nd baby was FT after having placental abruption at 28 weeks. Her 3rd baby was born at 34 weeks due to PROM. She chose not to take the shots for her subsequent pregnancies after the 1st one. Another close friend also took shots after her 28 week preemies and she went to 37 weeks. So I guess I am all for them, but I know that everyone is different.
It is hard to make that decision since it doesn't sounds like DH is on board with it. My DH had to give me the shots so I can't imagine having to take them and him being opposed when he was the one administering them weekly. What are his reasons for you not taking them?
I have heard of people going to the doc to have them administered and I believe you would just pay your copay for every doc visit.
