I'm curious if anyone waits to find out what they are having until the actual birth? We were surprised with my first two and plan to be surprised with this one too. Anyone else going to be surprised?
We will be Team Green and were with our other two as well. I think it's fun to hear everyone's guesses and we always ask that our MWs not announce it, so DH has been the one to call out, "It's a girl!" "It's a boy!" it was so special hearing it from him
I'm 10w2d, I get to hear the heart beat in 2 weeks and then the gender ultra sound is week 18-20. So I have 10 weeks to decide. My plan right now is to find out and I'd like to share the news at the baby shower
We are also having a surprise - only thing tempting me to find out is we are having a big struggle trying to think of a boy's name we both like. If it's a girl I will have wasted hours sat scrolling through lists of names online!
I would like to be surprised at birth but hubby is not on board! I like to think that he could keep it a secret from me but I know either I will cave in and ask him or he will slip up. I guess we will have to meet half way! I wouldn't mind waiting and having a gender reveal party, I think those are really sweet!

I think the true compromise here is, you have give the tech two pieces of paper and two envelopes. Ask the tech if he/she is willing to write the sex in one but not the other. Go home and burn one and open the other. If it's blank you wait, if it's written on there you find out

Whether you find out at 10 weeks, 14 weeks, 20 weeks, or when the baby is born...its going to be a surprise anyway.
So in about 3 weeks, we will be surprised when we find out the sex of our baby.
