I had a tt years ago and my belly seems not to grow that much. At 20weeks I am hardly showing. Worried my baby might not be growing well.
Every woman shows differently. If you have concerns, you should discuss with your OB.
Not sure how a tummy tuck would affect your growing uterus. I would assume getting rid of excess skin has nothing to do with what is growing inside of you.
Dang. I was hoping this thread was going to be a dicussion about future tummy tuck plans... mine include a breast reduction as well. It's going to be glorious!

I think we can steer the conversation in that direction. I love talking about myself anyways.
I fully intend to get a boob job once I'm done having kids! I'm thinking a full D would be nice
I had a tummy tuck 4 years ago...only issue both my OB and my plastic Surgeon told me would be that I might carry lower then usual.. You shouldnt have anything to worry about!
@dkleid - How was that expereince for you? Recovery etc? Just curious if you don't mind sharing.
Not going to lie. it wasnt a cake walk. I spent 2 nights in the hospital ( I also had the extra skin from my arms removed... I had gastric bypass 9 years ago). So i spent 2 days in the hospital, then I was bed ridden but to go to the bathroom for 2 weeks, then I was allowed to do the stairs once a day with help for 2 weeks, then I was allowed to do the steps once a day by my self and the rest of the time with help. I was home from work for 7 full weeks
I'm on board with smaller boobs. I went from a happy D to an E with DD now I'm going up from an E ugh!!!! I want a breast reduction and a tummy tuck when this baby is done cookin.
If the doctor could give me boobs and a tummy tuck when I was already opened up for a c section, vbac wouldn't even be an option for me.
I've heard that they can...well not your OB but a plastic surgeon. But of course, I heard about it from a friend of a friend...so I don't know how accurate it is.
What about the extra stitch. Ya know to make things...smaller. Is that real and am I the only one hoping it is??? I googled it and some say it's real some say it's not. I'm also way to shy to ask my Dr.
Haha. Just don't let your husband ask for the extra stitch after delivery. ... One of our docs (l and d nurse here) asked the dad hilariously... " well do you need the extra stitch?" As in...... Are you too small. Lol I wanted to laugh so hard because that particular dad was such a jerk.
I have also had a breast reduction...anyone has any questions please let me know.. I dont mind answer any and all questions!1
Good insight on the tuck. Thank you. I would love to hear about your reduction. That is 100% happening. I was an F after DD was born... And they just keep getting bigger. No thanks.
I know some insurances will cover a breast reduction of its medically necessary (ie back pain). My friend just had her skin removal and tummy tuck covered. But she had gastric and lost over 150 lbs. I think she kept getting infections in the folds.
This is a hot topic amongst my twin mom friends...we are going to try to find a Dr to give us a group rate! Haha!

If you are seriously concerned talk to your OB about checking up on the baby.

At my smallest I'm a C, I'd be happy to do away with them after babies. I would be so happy to have lil boobs where bras were not necessary.
:x
