Has anyone gone in for betas yet? I went for my first set to get a baseline at 4 weeks 1 day and it was 204.

With my middle son mine was only 32 at 4 weeks 2 days so i am pretty excited to see such a high number this time!

If you have gone for betas what were yours and how far along were you?

Did my initial betas yesterday and they called with the results today...
I'm at 4 weeks 5 days (that hasn't been verified by the dr yet)
HCG = 9,259
Progesterone = 24.9
The nurse said my levels were good and I go back for a 48 hour follow up tomorrow.

At 3 weeks 5 days mine was 32 so I got pretty upset but I've read it's more important about the doubling of the number. My pogesterone level was a 29 and the nurse said that was excellent. I go back on Wednesday for another test. Praying my numbers are great!

My beta on 1/26 was 374, Wednesday it was almost 1000. Progesterone was 38. All great.

Courtney-that's a high first BETA, look out for multiples!

My first beta was 1/30 and it was 317. I go in on Monday and Wednesday and hope it doubles each time! 4 weeks and 3 days today. 1st pregnancy @ 39 years old

Yes, I've read that it's a possibility that higher HCG levels indicate multiples but it's not a complete guarantee. Read it in my What to Expect book.

Last week my hcg was 122 on 11dpo and 360 on 13dpo, first pregnancy...my progesterone level was above 60 on 5dpo...so happy to see solid numbers!

I go tomorrow! So nervous, hoping for a good number! My last pregnancy my repeat beta at 4-5 weeks was over 10,000 and it was not multiples, but boy did I think it would be!

With my 1st LO my first beta was 19!! She is 5yrs old now

I just got the call with my second round of results and I couldn't be happier!
My initial HCG at 4w4d was 9,259 and 48 hrs later it was 216,022!! The nurse was very happy with my levels considering I just had a miscarriage in Oct! For the first time this pregnancy I'm starting to feel optimistic!

...couldn't be the triģger shot either way as hcg has a half life time that makes it disappear in within 10 to 14 days entirely.

I had a trigger and on
day 11 past egg retrieval/fertilisation (day 14 past trigger) beta was 18
on day 13 it was 73..
On day 16 it was 227 and
on day 17 it was 307
(4weeks plus 1)

...am a bit concerned that it has slowed down

Doc called today.. Said 605 and 17 are good numbers for dating. I guess I was expecting them to be higher since I'm so symptomatic!

First baby at 35. Complete surprise for fiancé and I. I was taking OCs. Nonetheless, we are thrilled for the miracle.

Anyone else really symptomatic? I am having such an issue with smells.

My hcg level was 794 today and my progesterone was 9.2 so I have to supplement. They do not want to repeat the hcg because ob said it was good. I thought they always repeat?

Not necessarily. Only if you have history of recurrent m/c or health issues.

Mine isn't repeating either. Going for first U/s on 2/19.

That's a great initial Hcg. Levels can vary so widely.

My doctor seemed very pleased with my numbers. And she's a friend of mine so gives it to me straight.

Bah! I know...that can't mean anything bad can it?

When I asked the nurse on the phone if those levels seemed high, she said no and that my levels are measuring between 5 and 6 weeks (I was 4 weeks 6 days when I had my second levels pulled). So, she just figures that I ovulated and conceived earlier in my cycle.

There is a really great website called beta base where you can see averages for your dpo. You can also put in two numbers and get the doubling time. https://www.betabase.info/index.html In general your OB is looking for a doubling time of 48-72 hours.

courtneydeem Your doubling time was 10.5 hours..which is really fast. But if your OB doesn't see a problem, I would trust them.

From google it sounds like high betas can mean (1) nothing, or (2) multiples. So I wouldn't worry too much!

I went this past Friday. My first HCG result was 5,766. I got labs done on Monday she called today and said HCG was 15,700! Progesterone level. 19.4. I was told this was great and my sono and dating are scheduled for the 12th.

I wouldnt worry too much, mine were 32 the day I found out (think I was 3 weeks 5 days) 2 days later 170, 3 days later, 1450, so its about the numbers doubling

Had my first beta at 17dpo of 399. That was on Monday. My doctor does the second beta after 3 days not the usual 2 so I go back tomorrow for the second and they will rush the results to get them back tomorrow. I'm so nervous.

I have no idea how far along I am or when I conceived, or what day my period was due (which is strange for me... it's a long story though)... so I went on Monday to get my first beta and it was at 144. That kind of scared me a little, so when I go today, I pray that it's a lot higher.

Mine were very similar at 4w4d--can't remember exactly but in the 9,000s. I also had an ultrasound since I had a Mirena in place when I found out I was pregnant and had absolutely NO idea how pregnant I might be. 2 gestational sacs. I go back next week to find out for sure, but my high levels apparently did indicate multiples. Many times, that's not the case, though! I'll be interested to see what you find out!
