5cm- induction scheduled for next Thursday. Can't believe I am not in active labor yet considering my dialation and effacement- but goes to show you it really doesn't mean a ton
Well given that I thought you meant Fundal Height Measurement, i have no idea! I haven't been checked...I wonder if that is next week's appointment....I'm guessing that needs an internal exam...great...
At my last appointment (about a week ago) I was 2 cm and due 2/14. I feel like maybe I've gone a little more since then, but that could just be me feeling more pressure in my pelvic area.
I asked my midwife, she said the risk of infection is only notable after your water breaks. It wasn't really pleasant though, so I don't know that I'll have it done again by choice, until we get quite a bit closer.
No idea, I haven't had any reason to get an internal exam. My mom was completely closed the day before she had me and told it would be a while. I was born in a 2 hour labor the next night. My best friend was 4 cm at 38 weeks, had him at 41+5. It means nothing, I have no idea why doctors even bother to tell you?
38 weeks +3 and I haven't been checked, yet. Assuming OB will check at my 39 week appt. on Monday. I've been feeling crampy for a couple days, so I'm curious if things will get moving before then!
