I would absolutely do classy nude photos. My husband cannot keep his hands off of me right now he loves that years and years of trying we finally got pregnant so for us its going to be about remembering this journey and rocking the hell outta this bump. Its not about sexulizing pregnancy but I knw he'd love to see me owning my body like that.
My husband is the only person who is permitted to see that much skin. I would be so uncomfortable doing a nude shoot. Never in a million years. I will do a maternity shoot this time around. I didn't with my second and regret it.
I'm doing them. I'm taking mine at the beginning of my 3rd trimester. I work for a modeling agency so I have friendships with some talented and trusted photographers. If you're going to do it check out photographer portfolios beforehand because you will be in a vulnerable position. If you don't know the photog ask for past client references so you can feel more comfortable. I would 100% say that you should use a professional. These are only beautiful if they are well lit and artistic. This is my second baby and I regret not doing it the first time. I'm going to do all black and white, just implied nudes focusing on the silhouette of my body. I will probably post mine on my model page, but even if you just keep them for yourself won't it be wonderful to look back when you are 70 at how lovely and womanly you were at this time. You will love reminiscing with yourself about your special baby bump. I say do it!
I say to each her own but I'm not a fan of maternity photos anyway because you get them taken usually 7 -8 months and then a short time later you have the baby and want to put those pictures up. I don't really want to remember how fat and how bad my stretch marks look plus I just feel a waste of money, but that's just my opinion, lots of people love how they look and want pics.
I had a friend that did some, and they were amazing. She of course was still a cute tiny little thing. I on the other hand had pics but didn't even show my belly. I looked like a walrus and no matter what I did to prevent them had stretch marks everywhere. No thank you!
I don't get why people try to sexualize pregnancy.
Probably because pregnancy and birth are sexual events. You make a baby through sex (most of the time). And then it comes out of one of your "sex" organs, the vagina (most of the time). It is "sexual" reproduction, and part of your "sexual" life. You even feed the baby from some of your other "sex" organs.
Eh, I wouldn't. I also wouldn't do a belly casting:
I totally get that some people find their pregnant body beautiful and want to remember it forever. And that's probably better than being completely disgusted by your pregnant body and stressing about all the changes to it and feeling unattractive for 10 months.
I guess I'm just more in the middle of the two ends of the spectrum. More of a "meh" kind of feel.
I definitely think that you should be proud of your body, but I can't imagine what you would do with a picture like that once you've taken it. It's artistic and looks great, but I wouldn't think many people would want to have that picture up in your living room.
Also, you'd need to be careful about how you have them done. This could easily turn into one of those bad pinterest "nailed it!" jokes.
I mean, shit, if I end up looking like Marissa Miller in the next 5 months, absolutely i would strip down! Unfortunately, I'm not holding my breath that it'll happen! Lol...
I did a maternity shoot for my first born and the photographer told me to get undressed! I was only 19 and didn't know that that was "a thing". I was able to choose what ones I wanted and didn't choose any of the ones with my clothes off. Now that I am on my third pregnancy; I kind of wish I did because my body won't ever look that cute being pregnant haha!

If I looked like her I would be naked all of the time.

But girl, if I looked like that...I might!!
