Which meal

What meal of the day is the hardest for you to feed LO? Breakfast, lunch, or dinner?

DS is just now eating majority table food. And we usually feed him whatever we are eating or I make something to go with what we eat for the meats he still can't chew. Breakfast is very easy to find him something but lunch and sometimes dinner we still struggle with. I feel like he is eating the same things every week just different days. He is still getting some purees but he is slowly refusing them. So where are you struggling with meals?

Re: Which meal

  • I think lunch is the hardest.  I hate to give dd chicken nuggets, hot dogs and mac and cheese frequently, so it's hard to find alternatives.

Food has been a struggle with us. This weekend, I stopped giving dd bottles and switched to a sippy cup for her milk.  She is drinking much less milk and eating a lot more food now.  I did let her have one or two bottles though, because i think it's rough to go cold turkey.

  • I think lunch is the hardest. He eats what we eat for dinner. I feel like there are not many options for lunch maybe I just need to get creative. And DS doesn't care much for PB&J :(

  • I agree. Lunch is hardest for same reasons. Breakfast is usually easy to throw something together and she's usually hungry so she doesn't really care what it is. And for dinner she's usually hungry so she eats what we eat. She usually snacks a little after breakfast so she's not always hungry for a meal at lunch plus like you all said, I don't want to burn her out on hot dogs, nuggets, pb&j, etc. I'm on weight watchers and she does love those meals tho.
