Will this work with our last name?

I love the name Cora, most likely with a middle name of Mary or Madelyn, but I am not sure if it goes with our last name which is Italian, starts with a "C" and ends with an "A"

Would it sound strange to have both the first and last names start and end with the same letters?

To me I think it depends on how long your LN is, and how it sounds. If you're talking Cora Cannatora, it won't work IMO. If it's Cora Camelliana, that would be OK.

It's hard to say without knowing your last name.
