  • I'm happy to see my chosen names aren't mentioned here! They are ordinary names that run in our families, but fairly uncommon. We're keeping them private until the birth (knock on wood that all continues to go well!).
  • For a girl we have Adrianna grace and for a boy it's Thomas Mathias (Mathias was NOT my decision lol)
  • Yes we do. We decided to spell it differently than the character because hubby's name is Ian.
  • It won't ever come up. When we do use initials it's only first and last
  • For a boy Gabriel Francisco and for a girl Genesis milagros I'm in love with these names

Lennon Wilder for a boy Nora Rose or Eleanor Rose for a girl
  • @BabyHildebrandt‌ DH's name is Joshua Daniel and I LOVE it! I call him by his two names all the time! :)
  • Potential girl names:
    Alyse
    Leni
    Mary Catherine
    Renée middle name?

    Boy names:
    David George
    William....
    Marion middle name?

    I need more options
  • Evangeline Nayeli for a girl
    Alexander Scott for a boy
  • Girl: Paloma or Penelope (Penny)
Boy: undecided but; Joaquin, Ian (brothers name) or Leandro (Leo)
    Middle boy: Philip
    Middle girl: ??
  • Thea, Lilah, Alexa or Aria for a girl.
Logan, Ethan, or Liam for a boy.

I've had my lists going for the past couple years and I'm only 5 and a half weeks along with my first. :) so excited and curious how my name choices will change when I see my baby's face. I don't like the idea of choosing a name before they're born because I'm afraid they won't "look" like that name. Maybe I'm just a nerd.
  • We haven't decided on anything but I am really impressed by all of you that have your names already nailed down.  We do know that no matter what if it is a boy the middle name will be Lee and possibly MN Elizabeth if it is a girly but I'm not 100% set on that. We have a really masculine last name so for a girl I want something very feminine yet not weak.

Girl: Right now I LOVE Genevieve (NN: Evie) and Eloise but we haven't discussed this yet :)
Boy we have narrowed down to Henry, Samuel, or Oliver (Henry is my fav. Oliver is DH fav

I love unusual names. I mean I don't want my kid to be named Banjo or anything, but I also don't want them to be the fourth child in their class with the same name. One of my friends was Matt M until high school, and it was hard to stop calling him that! My son's name is Holden, which isn't common, but isn't too out there, and people always compliment us on the choice. Our next baby will have an uncommon name too! No choices yet though...:) I love all the name on here!

My brother was called Banjo before he was truly named. My mother dreamt that they would name him Banon after my great-grandfather and Joseph after a close family friend and call him Banjo for short. Mom told Dad about the dream, and thus he was named Banon Joseph.
lol that's funny! I actually like Banon! That's a cool name! I always think of Banjo because I read it on some weird celebrity name list...along with Audio Science, Apple, and Moxie Crimefighter. I don't know why, but I always use it as a reference. lol
  • Boy: Leonidus Girl: Aurora Jeanne Edd: sept 20th!
  • Natalie Faye for a girl (Faye from my Aunt who passed away many years ago) and Logan Cyrus for a boy.
My Daddy's name was Cyrus and he passed away in 2008.
I'd love to name a boy after him however our little girl (Alyssa - 7years) wants a baby sister. This will be our 4th and last.
    Would love to have twins!
  • Boy: Paxton James
Girl: Marley Adele - possibly Marlowe and call her marley

I love all of the names you all have picked here! I feel like I'm going to change my mind fifty times before baby arrives. I'm on Nameberry.com everyday.
  • Lachlan James for a boy
Charlotte or Harper Ann for a girl :)
  • My father passed when I was 21. His name is Ronald. So if we have a boy it would be Jason Ronald "J.R." for short which I absolutely love!!!! For a girl I'm undecided, maybe because I'm really leaning toward a boy because I already have my little princess. ...but I do love the name Rebecca.....Becky for short....but I don't know!!! 8->

    Nora
    Ava
    Emma

    Vaughn
    Eli

We are pretty set on Harlow Joan for a girl. Love the name Harlow and Joan was my grandmother's name who passed away 2 years ago.

For a boy, we're still up in the air. But right now I am leaning toward the name Bodhi. At first I thought it was weird but it's just grown on me.

    I'd like Bodhi Jackson
    My husband likes Bodhi Hudson

At one point I also liked William Meredith for a boy. (Meredith is my first name) I though it would be cool to have both our kids have middle names inspired by our first names. My husband's first name is Josh so Josh/Joan
But I'm not entirely in love with William or the nicknames.

  • Since you have to compromise on your girl name would you be willing to switch the first and middle name and just call her by her middle name? I personally wouldn't want to but when it comes to things like that I'll compromise. But that's just me, a lot of people do go by their middle name. Just another thought. SAS sounds better than ASS.
  • So here is a question and pickle I am in regarding names and would like some input. We have both boy and girl names both starting with A. Our last name starts with S. Sooo long story short my DH cousin passed away when they were young so he would like to give our LO if a girl her name as the middle. Which to me my response was automatically absolutely! However, then I realized her name is Sarah. So our LO (if a girl) would have initials "ASS". I have a bit of an issue with this but feel horrible because I would like to honor his cousin. He seems to think it's not an issue and no one pays attention to initials. I worry about ridicule for the baby at school, etc. Any outside opinions? Thanks!

I empathize your struggle, however looking forward into your child's future please be mindful that she will be stuck with your choice! In my career (Radiation Therapist) our initials are EVERYWHERE. All of my work is noted by my initials. Not sure how common it is to use initials in other lines of work, but in health care it is prevelant. Good luck, friend!
Yes, which is my point because we don't know who this little one will end up being or doing. I just want to be sure we don't subject her to anything unnecessary and I know his cousin sarah wouldn't have wanted that either. So we have been discussing possibly using her name with a shortened version of her middle name I. E. SaraLiz. As our LO middle name so her initials would be ASLS instead. Just trying to get our heads around 4 initials... Such a hard decision, because you are absolutely right...our decision will affect her in the future.
    I replied above.

Love love the girls name!!! My moms name is Gizelda-- she's Brazilian. Zelda always reminds me of her and it's so different!
  • @tigerfish227‌ My husbands name is Vincent, I've always loved that name even before we met! It means "the conquerer, one who prevails." Such a strong name and I don't know any other Vincent's! Strong middle name too. Great choice!!
  • I have wanted a girl named Grace forever. And I asked the Hubby what his fav boy name was and he said Logan. So that's it for now. Haven't thought about middle names.
  • Girl: Sophia Pearl (paternal grandmother and maternal grandmother) Jewish tradition to use a deceased relatives names or initials

Boy: Eli Rand (we just like the first name and the middle name is my husband's favorite literary character from the Wheel of Time series)

IF we have twins (which is hereditary):
    Sophia and Olivia or Eva
Eli and Ari (sounds so Jewish! LOL)

We have a handful of names... The front runners so far are: Adelaide Blake(family name) also thinking of Adelaide Grace for a girl. Vincent Allen or Leighton James for a boy.
  • This will be our first child and we are struggling with whether or not to follow a naming tradition. In my family on my mother's side everyone is named with a K or hard C. This is a tradition started by my grandmother. It is really important to my mom that I follow suit. I am not so sure. I would really love to honour my grandfather who's name is Malcolm. This is easy if we have a boy as we can use Malcolm, Mac etc as a middle name. If we were to have a girl this would be more difficult. All of the boy names I like start with a K and I would not want to name a baby girl with an M and have her feel left out later on if she has male siblings who are all K names. Here is what our thoughts are so far in order to satisfy honouring my grandfather and sticking to the K theme....

    Boy:
    Kelby Malcolm
    Karter Malcolm

    Girl:
    Mackenzie Anne "Kenzie"
    Mackenna Anne "Kenna"

Twins also run in both of our families in which case we will also need to decide if we were to have 2 daughters could one start with M and one with a K? Or would we start a new tradition and go with m names. We also like

    Maci
    Kaiden (boy or girl)

  • Simon Francisco

    Alexandra Nina

They are family names of those who passed on and will live on through our child.
  • Haven't really decided but my dh and I love the name nikko alexzander for a boy.
  • Our little girl is names Harleigh Rae. So this one is going to be named Charlie either way. If it's a girl we are deciding between Charlie May/Kay/Rae if it's a boy his name will be Charles Fleming V (the 5th) ( my husband is the 4th ) he will go by Charlie also. I love hearing everyone's different taste in names. It's so much fun!
