STMs - movement question

First, I want to say I totally searched this topic and definitely found a bunch of past discussions on this, so that was nice. But, I'm still going to repost my question because I actually want to talk and discuss with anyone who's experiencing this too. Reading past posts is one thing, but I enjoy discussion.

I'm 15 weeks 2 days today. I am 99.9% certain I felt baby back on Tuesday when I was 14 weeks 4 days. But since that one instance I haven't felt a thing. I know it's still inconsistent movement now but I'm going on a week of nothing now and it's concerning me a tad because I'm a STM and thought I'd pick up on even the tiniest movements easier. Anyone else go long between feeling movement at this stage? My next appointment isn't until Friday when I'll be 16 weeks, which seems an eternity away.

Re: STMs - movement question

  • I'm a STM too. I felt baby late 14 weeks. Then nothing for a few days. Now at almost 16 weeks I'm feeling flutters more regularly. However I don't feel anything unless I'm sitting and still. I wouldn't worry. Still way too early for movements to be regular

  • Same here. If I lay on my back and try and poke my tummy I think I feel some slight squirming.
  • I'm on my second and 14 weeks. I felt baby move about a week or two ago. Just a few movements and have only felt a few since. Nothing regular just sporadic. I am also a doula and plan on being a midwife one day so have done extensive reading on pregnancy and birth. Not that I am am expert but I probably have more knowledge than your average mom. :-) from my experience It is completely normal to go periods of time without movement this early.
  • I am also a STM and am having twins. They attacked me one night a couple weeks ago over a forceful sneeze that ended up not happening. After that, nothing until two days ago. And even now it is very little and only when I am sitting for a long time or laying still. I assumed I would feel a lot more and a lot sooner, since this is my second go and there are two in there, so I do end up worrying myself between appointments. But so far all has been perfectly normal and my OB keeps saying not to worry or stress myself out over potentially nothing.
  • I feel most of my movement when I am teaching, it is the weirdest thing! It is like the lo likes the chaos. As soon as I get home nothing! This started about a week ago, 15 weeks on Tuesday.

    Stop counting crayons, just draw

How far along are you? I'm on my phone in case you have a ticker and I just can't see it  Your post definitely makes me feel better - especially since there are two in there and it's still the same and normal. I'll try to relax this week. Thankfully my Friday appointment is first thing in the morning so I don't have to wait all day to see this LO

  • I'm on my fifth baby. I remember feeling my 2nd much earlier, around 14 weeks, then with my first. I didn't feel him for about a week and a half after the first initial movement.
  • I have a question kind of along the same lines...
For those feeling baby at 13/14 weeks, where in your belly are you feeling movement. I've felt a few things that have me wondering if it was baby. I'm on baby #3 and still no expert...

For me it's been kind of to the left about an inch under my belly button if that helps.

  • @nessie6400‌ - no ticker, I am only mobile and I am what I like to call techno-tarded, so I haven't taken the time to figure it out. I am 17w5d. I have an appointment Friday morning also. Fingers crossed we can both relax again after that!
