Motherhood Maternity has a lot of buy one get on 50% off so wait until a sale to buy multiple items from them. I "splurged" on clothes there with DD and with this baby by buying my staples that I would wear the most (ie jeans, shorts, etc). I also got some clothes from Target. I lived in their maxi dresses! On that note....check out a Ross or Marshall's or similar store for maxi dresses and maxi skirts. Since most maxi dresses have an empire waist already a non maternity maxi will work. You will probably just need to get a size or two up. But its a great way to get some cute clothes for cheap.
When I was pregnant with DD we had 3 weddings that summer all which were pretty formal so I was finding that most maternity dresses either weren't formal enough or were way to much $$. So I went to Ross and found an adorable cocktail dress for like $20 that fit me perfectly. It was a size 14 and I am usually an 8-10 but with my big belly it worked out perfect!
Destination maternity has an awesome selection, and their clearance rocks. The biggest negative about Zulily is there is absolutely no returns. You really, really, really need to be sure of your sizing before ordering or you're stuck with it. I've bought basics like tanks and tee shirts and have had no problems.
Surprised I haven't seen gap mentioned. They have really cute stuff and good sales. Most of my stuff is from there and Old navy. Loft also has nice sweaters and work pants.
Also someone mentioned Burlington coat factory on the west coast...I haven't been there for mat clothes but we have BCF on the east coast too.
I have the issue where nobody has shorts right now. Everywhere has long sleeves and pants spring/summer lines need to come out soon I can't wear winter stuff in HI

I hate maternity pants just because my belly is growing doesn't mean my butt is! So after a discouraging shopping trip I am sticking to leggings and long shirts. Super comfortable and looks good! I Almaty paid $20 for a shirt at h&m but decided to goto frenchys instead and got 6 things for $22. I mostly wanted long tank tops an cardigans. Found lots!
I wondered why the ass has been saggy in all of the pants I've bought!!! X(
I live in a small town with few options but I've fared well with thrift stores like Goodwill. And online yard sales. I've never been a name brand type of girl anyway so it works for me!
I have tried in store too, but unfortunately I'm also finding that a lot of stores only have maternity online (and I'm in a big city!). I recently ordered a few pairs of jeans and work pants from pea in a pod because their sale stuff was all 40% off. Still waiting for them to arrive but I'll let you know how it goes! I've also been browsing asos.com and might finally place an order.
In terms of long tank tops, I'm also tall and find that H&M's long tank is really long. I wear them almost every day!

I found with DD that as my belly got bigger the back of the pants started fitting better. And my ass didn't get much bigger. I was all belly with DD. But I am stuck in the saggy ass department right now when I wear even the maternity clothes that fit with my DD. My regular jeans don't but my maternity jeans don't fit right either. It is frustrating.
I know this has been mentioned above, but the Gap is having a huge 50% off sale today (including sale items). I just bought a pair of cute skinny jeans for $12.50, among other items. Just type in SALE at checkout in the promocode section.
Online seems to be the best way to find maternity clothes, especially on sale. For plus size (I'm a 2X usually), I've had good luck with Old Navy's maternity tops in XXL. They are very generous in their sizing. I like Motherhood Maternity jeans because they have REAL pockets (not those lame fake ones), they come in plus size and they cone in lengths (short, regular and long).
Burlington coat factory. Definitely. I found so many things for 5.99-10.99.. I left so happy after going to the mall and asking every store if they had a maternity line only to find out that they didn't.
