  Both are great names.  Jeremy to me seems a little more "cute" and Ian conveys more strength -- but that's just my subjective reaction to the names.  

  
  

  Maybe shelve both for a while or take a break from discussing it and see whether either of you bend?

  I prefer Jeremy over Ian. Ian is a fine name I just have a negative personal connection with the name itself.

  I prefer Ian Sawyer. Jeremy feels dated to me.

  I like Jeremy better than Ian - Ian feels trendy to me. I like Ian better than Sawyer... Jeremy Ian is a really nice name.
  
  But, it's your kid. You guys have to agree.

  I personally am not a fan of Sawyer unless it's a family name. I have a bad personally associate with Jeremy and having an Irish LN Ian sounds better to me. I'd go with Ian Jeremy personally.

  Like the poster above me, I don't love Sawyer unless it's a family name or has some special significance to you. It's pretty trendy right now. Is there is a reason that is set at the middle name?

  Sawyer is a family name and I just don't feel right about having it in the front. I think we are going to keep Ian Sawyer. It's growing on me more so now that we've called him that for are week or so now. Thanks for all the opinions :-)
