  • Hi ladies!

I'm 12 weeks....I think 3 days? Everything seems to be going well, I feel a little achy this week (I've always had an on again off again bad back).  But other than that, I feel pretty good.

I don't have any names picked out, I decided I would start thinking about that once we know the gender, which wont be for a while.  So I am still just adjusting to the idea of actually being pregnant and enjoying that.

  • Hi ladies...hope all is well.  @alpcrna could you change my EDD to 9/3 and there is one bean in there!

Last week at 6 weeks 1 day we saw our little bean with a heartbeat that had just started.  Yesterday morning I woke up to some red blood and a clot...I freaked out but thankful baby is fine and had a hb of 110.  I kept telling myself I would chill after we got a good heartbeat but I am still so, so scared.  I go back a week from Friday...I am going to cry when the RE releases me to my Ob and I quit getting weekly ultrasounds.

QOTW: if it is a girl we want to name her after my grandmother in some way...she gave us a very generous amount of money for our IVF cycle and then tragically had a stroke the week after my ER.  She passed away 2 weeks later and was the sweetest, funniest lady you have ever known- I would be honored to have a daughter like her.  If it is a boy we will name him somewhat after my DH and his dad...they both have the same first name and that drives me crazy so it'll prob. be DH's middle name.

8/12-Suprise BFP- Sweet Bunny Born Sleeping 11/21/12 (19 weeks)

8/14- Surpise IF dx...low AMH (.24)- moving on to IVF

    IVF #1- 11/14- 6R5M4F=2 perfect frosties

12/19/14- FET of 2 embabies = BFP!!!  One Little Bean EDD: 9/3/15

    Everyone Welcome.

  • Hi girls!

@alpCRNA‌ can you update me? 2 beans :)

I'm 8w1d today. Had our first OB appt yesterday, and got to see the babies again. I was told we'd have an u/s every appt since there's 2 and I'm AMA (ugh). I'm super pumped for extra scans, but he could have left the AMA part out! Feeling good except extreme fatigue and occ nausea if I don't eat every 2 hrs...I feel like a chowhound!! No puking though, so I'll take it!

QOTW- we like Grace and June for girls. Maybe Rhiannon for a middle name. Boys are tough. DH wants to use James (his dad's name, and his middle name), but I'm not that keen on it unless it's a middle name. Verdicts still out on first names for boys.

I am 10w5d today, and had my 3-hour glucose test. I had GD with  my DD, so the OB wanted to test me early this time. I have an appt. next Friday for the harmony test, and 2/5 is my normal OB appt. I have some morning sickness but it is when I either too much or drink water with the meal. I have constant headaches for the past few days, but I can tolerate them.

QOTD: I have two boy names picked out, since I found out I was pregnant. DH has two different names picked out. My uncle and BIL picked out those names, but I am not a big fan. I want to name them starting with (F). I can not decide on girl name, which would start with (J).  With DD I had girl name picked out from day one but couldn't decide boy name.
  • @bunnybun4 I've updated your due date and 1 bean.
@katers79  Congrats on your 2 little beans!  I updated you on the list.
@Justone13 We have the same middle name for a girl and for the same reason.  It combines both of our mothers middle names.  Plus the middle names are common in our families so it gets a grandmother and 2 aunts as well.

  • Finding it hard to believe I'm almost to 2nd tri! Aside from feeling a cold coming on, I've continued to feel great with only mild, bearable pregnancy symptoms. DH is in full-fledged nesting mode. He went out last weekend and bought a crib, dresser/changing table and pack n play off craigslist. I still haven't felt the need to buy anything yet, but I have been doing a lot of research about what we'll need and started packing up my sewing room so we can convert it to a nursery. Our good friends who did IVF before us and also had twins just asked af they could give us the crib that was to be their son's, but he was born sleeping. We were really touched and are glad to be able to honor him by using it. So, the crib situation is good to go. We only have one girl first name picked out, it's one we've both loved since before TTC. Beyond that, we have nothing! It seems like when we try out other possibilities, we just end up shooting down the others' suggestions, so we've decided to stop working on a name list until we find out the sexes. I think it's still going to be a challenge, though! @chiwifey‌ congrats on the twins!

  • @alpCRNA - can I be added?

My EDD right now is September 19 and the number of beans in undetermined.

My story is still in my siggy, but the recap is that we have been trying for almost 2 years. Last May we started the testing process and learned that my husband has azoospermia. We wrestled with the news for awhile and then decided to proceed with IUI using donor sperm. My first three IUIs were done with my OB, but then I wised up, got an RE, a new donor and was put on new meds. Wham, bam, thank you ma'am.

I am soooo new to this game and I have nothing really to report. Except I am happy to be here :)

  • Hi Ladies!

11 weeks here.  Last few days have been super super tired, more bloated and more queasy.  I thought this was supposed to get better now, not worse!  Next appointment is NT scan 1/27 with MFM.

QOTW:  We have 1 girl name and 1 boy name we are fairly comfortable with.  If we end up with 2 girls or 2 boys its going to be tough!

Had an ultrasound this morning and the twins are looking great!  One was doing somersaults on the screen.  Discharged from the RE today too - the place where everyone knows me and gave me a hug and wished me well on the way out.  Will be strange to return to the impersonal world of the OB's office.

QOTW:  We have not really discussed names - not until we know the sex of the babies anyway.  With DD we went with a-not-so-common name, Valerie.  I love that I have met no other children with her name.  (There were several Laurens / Lauras in my class growing up and I hated that)

  • Hi Girls,

I'm 11 weeks and still feeling like I'm in panic mode... Dr. KK's protocol is really high maintenance, and I feel like I'm going to be on the meds forever.

  • Hi, I'm 11weeks 4 days today...  I am starting to feel better most of the time, but swallowing pills and brushing my teeth still make me vomit every day. My OB is okay if I only take folic acid right now and I found one that doesn't taste bad if I crush it up and that way it stays down. Does anyone have any suggestions for the tooth brushing? I keep reading how important dental health is during pregnancy and don't want to stop.

Also, I had my first OB appointment and they changed my due date :( They apparently go off of LMP even though my IUI date and US match exactly... I know it really doesn't matter and doesn't change anything but it made me sad to suddenly be considered less pregnant. (I know it is very silly). I was wondering if anyone else has had this?

DH and I haven't started talking about names. It took him a long time to really accept it had finally happened. We go out to his parents this weekend and are finally going to tell them as he wanted to do it in person.
    ***Siggy Warning Child and Loss***

Officially diagnosed with unexplained infertility after 4 years of TTC
IUI#2 gave us DS#1 who became an angel a few minutes after birth from Noonan syndrome
IUI#4 gave us DS#2 - going strong as a toddler!

TTC again... Found a clinical trial for unexplained infertility and finished 16 weeks of "lifestyle intervention"
Cycle #1 - cancelled for ovarian cyst x3...
  • 8w3d. 1 bean. This is our third IVF attempt, one failure and one early miscarriage at 5w2d. We were scheduled for our first u/s at 7w2d but wound up going a week early due to bleeding/panicking. At 6w2d we saw our little tadpole for the first time and heard the faint whisper of a heart beat at 92bpm. At 7w4d we got a clearer picture, now 10.6mm and a steady recording of the heart beat at 158bpm. I thought all this would put my mind at ease, but I can't help feeling anxiety. I want to savour every moment of pregnancy but all I can think of is making it through the first trimester and, even then, I wonder, will I be able to just relax and accept that this baby is really happening? We do have names, William Lawrence if it's a boy, Rachael Sophia for a girl.
  • @kistra‌ I wanted to add, I don't think you are silly at all. At this stage, every day feels like a victory to me. To have someone take any of my precious days away from me would be devastating. I say you keep your own count and just let the ob/gyn know that you are planning on a 42 week pregnancy
