Rolling from back to tummy advice

So my LO has learned a new trick rolling from back to tummy. We were so excited for her but then the fear of rolling while sleeping kicked in.

We have stopped swaddling her and are using a halo sack with her arms out. It is hard to get her to sleep since she was a swaddle baby and her hands are the coolest thing to her. I have ordered a zipadee zip today. Hoping it comes fast!

STM+ how did you deal with a rolling baby while you slept? It scares me to think she could roll over and could be face down. All three of us need sleep! I will say she is super strong with her head at 14 weeks.

Any advice is welcomed as well has what worked to make you not want to check on your LO every hour!

Don't think you should be worried. If she can hold her head up fine she will be okay, she will just turn it to the side. I let my girl sleep on her tummy during the day when she wakes she pokes her head way up and if I don't get to her right away she turns to the sides or starts fussing.

@dvmmomma‌ at first she was face planting when she starting to roll over. Now as I am typing this she is playing on a blanket and has turned her head. I think it's just the FTM in me to be nervous.

My little one has been rolling over in her belly at night too. She always has her head turned to the side. They are going to sleep how they are comfortable is what my momma says. I say don't worry since he has good control of head

We recently transitioned to the zipadee zip after using the miracle
Blanket since birth and it had been awesome. DS loves it and sleeps just as well in it(typically an 8 hour stretch).

@candyland33‌, I don't blame you for being nervous! I'm a FTM too and the first week I was a wreck overnight and kept my hand on her to make sure she didn't stop breathing.

Bad things can and do happen but I've decided we hear too much about those instances and not enough about the billions of babies that do just fine. As a species we seem to be surviving pretty well and I think we need to worry less and enjoy LO more :)

When I ordered the zipadeezip, it came in a couple days if that help. I still haven't used it since LO just turned 2 months last week, but I hope your LO does well in it!!

    Thanks ladies!!

We had 1 night of 10 and a half sleeping in the crib with her arms out in the halo sack. The past 2 nights she has a hard time settling down with her arms out so she slept in her RNP.

I ordered the Zipadee Zip on Tuesday and received it today! yay I am hoping it works for my LO tonight.

We transitioned LO post 8 weeks to the Baby Deedee sleep nest after using the SwaddleMe since birth. Transition was really smooth and he sleeps so much better. Slept straight 7 hours on day 1.
It's so much better quality than halo. Never found DS cold or sweaty. This sleep sac is roomy and warm, easy to wash too, I just throw it in the washer. Can't stop recommending!!
