My TSH was tested as part of my diagnostics 6 months ago and was 2.11. My clinic treats TSH at 2.5 or above. I am unexplained secondary infertility and have had two miscarriages and one chemical pregnancy over the past 2 years.
I began getting acupuncture for fertility in December and the acupuncturist has encouraged me to get treatment from another doctor who will treat 2+ (rather than my clinic's 2.5+). My internet research hasn't been all that conclusive.
Of course, if the thyroid truly is my issue this would be a potentially simple fix, but I don't know how likely that is. I talked to my RE this morning. She is firm in that treating my thyroid is unnecessary. I will be doing another IUI with her next month.
I like my RE and my clinic so I don't want to really rock the boat by treating my thyroid elsewhere...unless that would mean that I get another baby which of course is unknown.
Do you know what your clinic have as a minimum for TSH to treat? Or does anyone else have any advice? Or what would you do?

potatocastillo - thank you for the article - I have read that blog, but hadn't seen that post.
fuzzbumble - they only tested the TSH. The responses to my post here make me at least committed to getting either my RE or another doctor to test the FT4 so I can have more information.
limac2929 - thank you! I have read about regulating by diet (no gluten, no dairy and limited sugar) - it seems like such a commitment without knowing if that is truly my issue, but I am going to try to reduce the gluten, dairy and sugar .
I'm feeling better about this - thanks!
