  • Also sleeping on your left side and propping your head up higher at night helps from my experience.

  • As PP said, I've been taking Zantac twice a day and I read some kind of article not too long ago that laying on your left side helps with heartburn, which actually does seem to really help.

If you didn't have heartburn prior to pregnancy you might find medications don't work. Unfortunately, it's often due to a lot less space in there and squished organs. I do find that not eating too closely to when I lie down helps me the most.

  • Milk.... it's the only thing that helps me
  • Famotidine(Pepcid) 10mg twice daily and supplement with TUMS as needed. This routine keeps my horrible heartburn at bay. I did this with my last pregnancy too.

  • Carbonated water works for me. And I definitely have less heartburn if I avoud chocolate in the evenings (although those are pretty crappy evenings because, well, chocolate!).
