Reading these comments on here are sickening. We are all adults and some of us don't have time to read every thread on here. Don't like a question? I have a suggestion: DON'T RESPOND! IGNORE THE THREAD! It's not like we asked to join this group, being due in June we were all put in here. Being a mature adult I can tell what she means by this question.
And to answer- 18 weeks is not too early to tell. If technician told you then your pretty safe with that. With my first I was told at 18 weeks and they were correct! There is probably always that slight chance but I think it's safe to bet it's a girl!
You don't have to read every thread, that's the beauty of the search tool. Search for similar threads and read only those instead of creating a new one of the same question. Easy.

Thank you , see these type of gals prefer to be mean and I'm ok with that. I've made it through all the high school cattiness and this doesn't surprise me, just makes me laugh. I actually enjoy their memes. See if they didn't have each other to defend one another about being bullies, they would be called out more often and get the bigger picture. They have already established a b***** sorority and they have all the rights in the world to be mean rather than helpful. My advice stick to the baby center app, you will receive a lot more helpful advice. This is for all you bullies and if you don't consider yourself a Bully it's obviously not for ALL you;)
I'm now eyeing the Mars Pods. I pretty sure it's an Aussie thing because my LA family asks me to bring a suitcase full of them. They are seriously so freakin' good. The shell is crispy then you get the Mars caramel and chocolate on top.
@babyJ614 you posted this question for the simple purpose of stirring shit. You are incredibly transparent, but hey, you got what you were looking for. Congrats!
@KimberlyandThor2014 I really didn't , but it's funny too see you guys never fail to blame others. You guys are responsible for stirring your own shit pot lmao I'm not forcing anyone to respond or even waste time with my question, blame your own community. Thanks for the entertainment

Um yeah okay. I blame this community for giving such rude advice as to ask your doctor. *Gasp!* you ladies should be ASHAMED!!! What a horrible, terrible thing to suggest!!
OP you went off your rocker way before anyone was rude to you. And even told us you expected it. Well you get what you give.
Some people on the site are too incredibly rude . Sorry we all haven't had kids in the past or even been interested in pregnancy and babies in the past. My pregnancy was a surprise so I knew nothing about it before I didn't take any child development classes in school. I was a complete rookie on the subject. And for some of you to treat people the way you do is amazing. Answer the question or MoveOn and keep your mouth shut unless you have something nice to say.
Help from someone who has been through it can be more personal than a pregnancy book. Not saying they are bad but why not get advice from someone who has been thought rather than smart ass comments from people who are supposed to be there to help out. You are a miserable person if you think it's ok to talk to people that way. I hope YOUR child learns better manners.

My pregnancy was a complete surprise and to be honest not the best timing. I'm a full time student and working full time so a baby wasn't in the picture until after I graduated. When I found out I was pregnant, I immediately started doing research and contacted my OB. Being a FTM or a surprise pregnancy is no excuse to not educate yourself on what's to come. It's a shame that you think the women who take time out of their schedules to answer questions on our J15 board are rude, and we treat people the way that they treat us. So when the OP get's on the defense and starts calling us rude or meanies because we offer logical answers, yeah we are going to respond with a little more snark. You get what you give, so if you want nice, heartfelt answers...take the advice given with a nice, heart felt response.
IM SORRY! I wasn't aware that speaking with mothers who have been through it all before wasn't considered educating your self. THATS WHY PEOPLE ASK QUESTIONS. I swear, you guys are being so rude it's ridiculous. There is no reason to make fun of someone or treat them they way you are because they may not be as smart as you on the subject.

See this is where you are wrong. There are a lot of FTM on this board, they probably outnumber the moms who have been around the block before. But before you ask ridiculous questions-at least tryyyyyy. Please. Even a little.
@cag11890, she's asking a group of women who have no experience reading ultrasound pictures to read her picture...That's not smart, and yes asking women who have experience is very beneficial but you need to do your due diligence and read up on what all takes place while being pregnant. Because the bump's not google and what may be happening for one mom isn't happening for the other because every pregnancy is different.
There are a THOUSAND different answers you'll find for questions like these. In books, on the Internet, where ever you look. Doctors will even give you different answers with questions likes is tanning ok, is a glass of wine ok, are specific foods or medicines ok? WHY NOT ASK SOMEONE WHO HAS BEEN THROUGH IT? And chances are IF I'm asking on this forum, ive looked other places and I'm not satisfied with my findings. I follow all kinds of forums for different reasons, one for my dog, one on horror movies so many others and THIS forum has the worst people. The most rude people I have ever dealt with. You'd think that mothers to be would be a little sweeter than you guys but guess not.

You're so right. We are all meanies. You better go to Baby Centre. They're really nice there. They have glitter. Take your friends too.
@cag11890, than why keep responding to us if we are so rude? When I come in contact with rude people, I tend to leave them out of my life and avoid any and all contact with them. And all the advice I have received from midwives and my OB have been the same. Not sure why you wouldn't be satisfied with your finding if it's something that's been discussed with an OB.

@cag11890 Did you even read the OP's original question? She's asking if she will experience a scientific phenomenon by having her baby change sex!?! Those that responded saying that we're not doctors and she should trust hers and her ultrasound tech are rude? I implore you to research or read those *crazy* pregnancy books to learn that her question is that of an asinine nature. I'm a first time mom too, nothing stops me from EDUCATING MYSELF. Good luck in pregnancy and life if you get offended by internet strangers answering questions on a PUBLIC forum.
Girl don't get down! I had a friend who found out she was having a girl at 15 weeks from one of those early gender boutiques. I'm not going to lie I def thought it was a possibility boy parts could sprout between then and he Dr's recommended 20 week scan. (Turns out it was still a girl at her anatomy scan )
I'm finding out what I'm having in about two weeks. I've def stared at my 12 week U/S wondering if I could see boy or girl parts.
The best way to find out is def by a Dr. Best of luck!!!! Wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy!!!!
Interesting. My Ob and the person who will be delivering my baby is a man. Pretty sure he has never been through birth himself but I still trust his answers waaaaay more than any internet stranger who has been through it. So here's a thought-talk to your doctor about whatever batshit questions you have. That's what they get paid for.
You'd think that mothers would be a little smarter and able to come to their own conclusions instead of being blind sheep, but I guess not. See ya lady. Take your "niceness" elsewhere.

So you're not satisfied with the answers you get from doctors and pregnancy books, so you think asking a bunch of "rude" internet strangers is the way to go? Hmm ok then...
Also @cag11890 how fucking dare you sit there and call us rude with your condescending bullshit. Get a grip. Just because people do not blow glitter up your ass does not mean we are rude.

In reference to your original question there is not in fact a thousand different answers..only one that you have been given a few times.
@mathistm, my GIF was definitely not directed towards you and my dense ass didn't think your "niceness" comment was directed towards me. This is what I get for trying to read boring business books while bumping.lol. I think I've love titted every response you've posted on this thread.
Oh nevermind, just read your previous posts. Explains a lot.
I don't get it, no one has even been rude to her despite the content of her posts. I think some people just like jumping the "you guys are a bunch of meanies" bandwagon. I don't know why people think us expectant mothers should be "sweeter". I think people that are bringing children into this world should be "smarter".
