My in laws are visiting all weekend, so I feel like all I've done since I got home from work last night is cook and clean up after meals!

One random thing about me? Hmm...I was never good at these icebreakers. I'm a therapist (I think some people already know that). Umm, I'm an avid runner when not pregnant, but have totally used my last and this pregnancy to take a break from running and walk instead. That's all I got; lame, I know.

We're stuck in awful traffic. We've moved less than 3 miles this past hour. No explanation.

My random: I grew up all over the place so I have a crazy accent. I was put in speech class in 2nd grade because I had combo NY/Boston accent. So now I have a "normalized" accent, except when I'm tired and then my mixed up east coast/southern accent rolls in.

My grandpa's funeral is Monday so chilling out and slowly getting some baking done for our family GTG tomorrow.

Random: 3 days before our wedding I fell backwards down an 8 foot cellar. My dad and MIL watched me fall and said they saw their life flash before them. Didn't even touch a stair, I took a step backwards by the side of the hole. I definitely had an angel (I'm convinced it was my other grandpa) help me there because I didn't hit my head and just walked away with some major bruising. I'll add a pic in a sec..

I moved from DC to southern VA and am getting a bit of a drawl, but went to school near Philly, so I have that short "a" accent going on too. What I'm trying to say is, I'm a little mixed up too

I'm being lazy & watching movies with DS all day....First we watched Lego Movie, then Frozen & now How to Train Your Dragon. We just ate some popcorn shrimp & applesauce for lunch & now I'm ready for a nap...

It was supposed to be girls night at a friends house but her lo is sick and one of the other girls is in the hospital with an aunt who just had a stroke. So my plans are shot- I know it's selfish but I was really looking forward to the night out with the ladies.

So... random thing-

I can say the alphabet backwards really fast. I don't know why but I taught myself to do it in like fourth grade. DH thinks it is hilarious and is always trying to get me to do it in front of people.

@mommacandi, not to be a creeper but where at in southern va? I feel like there aren't a lot of VA mommas.

My random, I get real butt hurt when people tell me how girly I am. I dress well for work but I'm all about some jeans/t-shirts and I love when my hubby lets me help work on the car, I curse like a damn sailor and love me some beer.

Thank you so much girls, you are all so kind. @CMSullivan326 , so sorry for the recent loss of your grandfather also, and to whoever reads this that I know mentioned they recently lost theirs when I made the post. It's never easy.

On a lighter note, I found the pic I had my photographer take on our wedding. Once I deemed myself alive, I saw the humour in it right away. I admittedly didn't go to a dr until the Monday after our wedding because I was scared of being in a cast. Even the x-ray tech gasped when I took my wrap off! I also had bruising under both my arms and up my back. I had to wear my flip flops the day of my wedding!

H is studying for board exams again, so DS1 and I are hanging out solo again. 10 more days until it's (hopefully) behind us!
We just took a trip to a completely mobbed Trader Joe's.

Something interesting about me:

I played the oboe from 6th-12th grade. I should've kept it up in college, but I didn't for no good reason.

I dig country music, admittedly, but I grew up in a tiny rural town outside of DC, so it was considered the "country." Camo, no...hunting, hell no. Now fishing? Absolutely.

I had plans for the day which included a birthday party (yay cake!) and staying at a nice hotel (for free!!) but my SO got into a car accident Friday and the car is pretty well fucked. He's perfectly fine thank sweet baby Jesus, but now our headlights are dangling by threads. No cake and no fancy hotel. At least SO is in one piece!

My random: I was in the university of Oregon marching band in college (I know, total nerd). I got paid to go the the national championship and rose bowl and got to go on the field and take pictures with Phil Knight (founder of Nike) and Chip Kelly (the now coach of the Philadelphia Eagles).

I always wish I had an accent. I have the super boring Pacific Northwest accent... Which is no accent.

DH and I are babysitting tonight for our friends. They have six month old that hasn't been letting them sleep. Fingers crossed this doesn't scare DH! He's an insomniac and figures if the baby doesn't sleep they'll just watch tv together.

We took the fur babies to the vet this morning, and then went on a long-ass trail walk with them. RLP is kicking my butt now, but at least I have cupcakes to make it better. ☺️

My random: I am half Mexican, live in TX, and have a degree in Spanish, but I don't really speak it because I grew up in CT and never spoke it at home.

Random fact: I'm terrified of deep water - total bummer when married to a surfer who wants to only take surfing vacations. Doesn't have to be the ocean - lakes, rivers, pools - I can see Jaws coming for me in all of them.

@staciecoffey‌ I'm with you on the cursing like a sailor... LO's first words will likely peel paint. I've always wanted an accent but I'm from CA. It's a boring accent, if there is one.

@devyns2nd‌ , I'm so sorry! I understand exactly how you feel about being pregnant while it happens. I hope your family is doing ok.

We didn't start exploring our beer options too much until visiting friends in Seattle 2.5 years ago. I've been pregnant twice and breastfeeding for a large chunk since coming back (and have gone once again since) so I haven't gotten to get too crazy yet but H is always trying new beer now and we appreciate it so much more!

My American friends say we have accents, lol.

I just have a random thing and figured this was the place to put it. As mentioned previously, my in laws are visiting. My FIL is passed out, snoring LOUDLY on the big couch, MIL is passed out, talking and whimpering in her sleep in the recliner, and DD is passed out sweetly on the love seat. Where does all of this leave my pregnant ass? On the fucking floor. I have all the irrational rage right now.

My Random for the day:

It is a BEAUTIFUL day in my neck of the woods, but I had no idea it was supposed to be so delightfully warm and sunny out today or else I wouldn't have dressed myself this morning in: thermal socks, fuzzy boots, two pairs of leggings, a sweater and a scarf. (It's been REALLY cold here.)

So after being around people all day and BURNING ALIVE, I finally got in my car and stripped down to one pair of leggings and my tank top. Now I'm sitting in my own driveway with the windows down, catching a breeze and re-hydrating my body after a really wretched lunch experience with people from my church (I waited for almost two hours for food with an 18 month old, never got a single drink refill, and had to sit RIGHT in a corner up against the window in direct sunlight. Legit almost had a panic attack brought on by claustrophobia and heat stroke.) DS is now asleep in the backseat and I'm not risking ruining his nap so I'm just sitting here. Wasting my life on TB.

It's glorious. I'm about to get in some reading, too.

This is turning into a reeeeeallyyyy nice afternoon.

I've been cleaning my house this morning since I had a lot of back pain this week and slacked on a lot.

Can my random thing be that I hate pregnancy/breastfeeding boobs? They are uncomfortable and itchy. I prefer my smaller deflated boobs. I've been really bothered by them lately and wish it would go away.
