  • @jro1602‌ that's great news!! I think we literally are on the same schedule since mine was put in on wed which was day 2. Was yours a five day transfer? Good luck! Are you secretly hoping for twins? I'm already getting nutty and wondering if I'm feeling implantation type pains but I guess it's early lol. Unless we can feel them hatching?? Haha.

  • @vballbaby yes mine was 5 day. I would honestly love twins as DH and I would like a large family and I can't imagine doing this over and over! I also have a pretty extensive family history of cancer and my RE wants me on meds for as little amount of time as possible. I don't test until the 29th. It def seems like an eternity! We will have to hel each other through it somehow :)

Me (30): Blocked fallopian tube, mild Hypothyroidism

    DH (31): Low motility and morphology<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

  • @jro1602 & @vballbaby - So nice to have company to wait it out with! :)

@jro1602 - My 5 day blasts were put in early this morning! :) DH & I are already referring to them as our babies.

@vballbaby - DH & I are hoping for twins... but it's no secret. We were very upfront about it. I started TTC over 10 years ago... my clock is ticking... fast.
I keep talking to them like a weirdo. lol My paperwork says it's completely normal to feel some cramping or slight pains. I can't imagine you'd feel them hatching. :/

My beta will be sometime between the 27th and the 30th, I will probably go on the 29th. But I know I will POAS before that... multiple times.

@vballbaby‌ the craziest thing happened at my last acupuncture appointment and I of course had to share with you! I started BCP and then a few days after I had an acupuncture session-- well this time the one in my right wrist BURNED! Turns out that is the pressure point for balancing hormones! I couldn't believe the strong reaction I had, but it makes total sense. This just makes me feel that this really is helping my body prep for baby :)

    Edited: CONGRATS on being PUPO!!!

@vballbaby - I took valium and they gave me an IV with something to 'help me forget,' which was not very comforting! I think the pain was somewhat dulled, but I cried through the entire procedure. I'm so grateful my DH could be there for me to squeeze his hand!!

And yeah, 2 day transfers. They feel the embryo is better off in the uterus than in a petri dish. Their pregnancy rates are in the normal range, and this is the only clinic available that isn't 3 hours away from us. But the whole 2DT thing has not sat very well with me!

    Congrats to you too!!

Edited to say: I don't want it to sound like my clinic is awful, they are truly wonderful!

  • That sounds awful and scary! I wonder why they don't do the twilight? I'm glad your DH was there but if you were on Valium and still crying from the pain that's a bit traumatizing :( I hope you are ok. Nothing wrong with a 2 day tsf, I had one. I've read about some clinics preferring it. Do they allow the others to continue growing in the lab to see how they do?

  • @.Mrs.Matt. I was in a lot of pain for my ER too. Because I have asthma they couldn't give me the pain killer so they just upped the dose of the drug that was supposed to stone me. I still felt it though espcailly on my left side where the most eggs were. I hope your feeling better soon.

  • @vballbaby - thank you! I am feeling pretty good! And good to hear of another clinic doing 2 day transfers, I think I remember another person on here with the same set up. I just find it surprising that not all clinics are growing them to 5 or 6 days. They froze all of the other embryos right away. I hope you are enjoying being PUPO!

@tifga - I feel ya! Sorry it had to be a painful experience, I hope you are doing well! Exciting that you are so close to beta!

  • XP from the other place:

I had my Day 8 ultrasound today... we have 11 follies in the 12-14.5 range, 7 more in the 10-12 range, a handfull in the 8-10 range that might catch up and then a few tiny stragglers that are out. So... looking at 20 or so contenders. I am pretty pleased with that -- possibly 20 or so eggs would be a great number without over-stimming like I did last time.  Still waiting on the blood results to confirm, but it looks like we are still on track for a Friday ER.

  • Sorry that I've been MIA! I'm still on Lupron and Estrace. I go in tomorrow for an ultrasound and bloodwork. Transfer is next Tuesday! I can't believe it. It is so different doing an FET compared to a full Ivf cycle. Still doing acupuncture and yesterday I had an awesome massage. I'm eating sushi tonight and having some wine, cause after transfer I won't have them. Hope everyone is doing well.
