Short Cervix

so my DH and I had our 20 wk anatomy scan a few days ago, everything with baby looks great. Growing healthy and happy. But my
Cervix is short. Measuring at 1.9 now my doctor said she isn't worried but refered us to a spealist. My appointment is Thursday. I haven't been worried at all until I had all this free time today and decided to google short cervix. And boy was that a mistake. I know your not suppose to trust everything you read online. But I am freaking out, I'm a FTM. And would like to know if anyone has gone through this before and what to expect. And should I be worried? It has taken all the excitement away from finding out we are having a girl! And it has me just feeling helpless. Any advice would be amazing.

    I don't have any personal experience - however, try not to worry before you see the specialist.  You may want to do a search for "Cerclage" on this board, I know there have been discussions.  Again, I don't know, but I would think this would be a possibility for you.

    This. I believe there was a thread about cerclage yesterday. I don't have any personal experience with this either but I do know someone who had it done and she went on to deliver a healthy baby boy.

    I am going through this right now. A month ago my cervix measured 1.9, Dr saw me back two weeks latter and it was 1.4. I am 19 weeks pregnant and everything seems to be doing just fine... My Dr said they are just going to keep a eye on it but everything should be fine he said.... I will update after my 20 week scan and see what it is. A cervix can change size throughout your pregnancy. I'm sure you will be ok! Try not to worry to much <3

    Try not to google. And if you think of more questions call your dr! It's hard to think of all the questions you need to ask right away.
