Sinus pressure = death? HALP.

I am having the f-ing worst sinus headache, and I don't know what I can/can't do about it. Anyone have any good advice? I did try Dr. Google, but he said "Tylenol" and it isn't doing it so far. Any other ideas? Sorry to be one of those posts.

Well I'm pretty new to it, and just ordered mine along with a diffuser. I know a lot of people who swear by essential oils. There are a couple of blends for help with breathing. I know doTerra is a good brand that you can order online. If you have a Whole Foods nearby, they have a great selection, and people who can help you get exactly what you need.

Same^ Finally had to break down and get a Z-pack and I was brand new in 2 days! My OB was able to call it in for me so I didn't have to sit through a dr's appt.

It may well be an infection--I know my immune system is all screwy right now because even my mosquito bites from vacation a couple weeks ago are infected. Regardless. F my sinuses. Luckily I have a doc appt today and thanks everyone. I am going to try ALL THE IDEAS.

Definitely a Zpack and sinus rinse twice a day. I was in pain around Christmas from my sinuses to the point where I was in tears. I have been maintaining by doing a sinus rinse twice a day or it will be back with a vengeance.

Neilmed sinus rinse. So much better than a Neti pot. It is like an enema for your sinuses. You can control the velocity of the rinse. I am currently feeling your pain. Hope you get some relief.

No pain here yet but I am DYING from allergies right now

I can barely breath out of my nose if at all!! I'm about to go crazy!!
I was doing Claritin for a little but just switched to Nasacort neither seem to work that well...any advice for opening up my nose? I tried a netti pot once this week and the water wouldn't even flow to the other side! I'm a mess lol

I agree with salty and everyone else who got the zpac. I had a sinus infection for a freaking month and got the meds! Much better now. I even was taking sudafed religiously and it wasn't working.

Essential oils have been helping me: I have a diffuser, but have just been taking a drop of peppermint and drop of eucalyptus and applying topically right over my sinuses, and just under my nose, it seems to help open sinuses and feels cooling. Becareful with the peppermint near your eyes/if you have sensitive skin it could burn. If so, mix with a little coconut oil before applying. My peppermint is Young Living (Amazon) but eucalyptus was from Whole Foods. I also diffused them both at night

I've had success with acupuncture for sinus issues. Last year I had a terrible sinus headache for 3 days and Tylenol did nothing. I went to an acupuncturist and within 10 minutes my sinuses drained (down the back of my throat, which was a weird feeling) and my headache was gone. It was like magic.

Sargent snot over here too.... it's the pits! I have been doing saline mist, bough myself a vicks plug in, and taking steam baths.

Be careful ladies, I sneezed like 100000 times yesterday and got so overly tired I had contractions and ended up in the hospital over night. contractions stopped without meds and baby is doing just fine, but it was scary! don't let yourself get too run down!

My post-nasal sinus drip started on Dec. 30th. It turned into bronchitis a week later. OB wasn't giving me any antibiotics since I didn't have fever at time of appointment. DH had to call back a day later because I'd had fever and I had no voice due to hacking all day and night. He finally gave me a z-pack. I was just starting to feel better and then on the final day of the z-pack it started to get worse. Called my OB and he refused to treat me (he's against meds in pregnancy), and told me to see an ENT instead. The morning of my ENT appointment I was running a fever. Thank God he was able to briefly clear my sinuses with some sort of wand machine. He gave me an augmentin prescription and told me to take Afrin and Robitussin DM for the cough. They're all safe during pregnancy. Also my OB clears MucinexD (and DM), Zyrtec, and Allegra after the first tri.
