T&Ps I can totally empathize after a similar experience with my first pregnancy and my great grandma passing suddenly. It's so hard and very understandable to take a break from socialization. Not block your family out though, I'm sure you're close to them from what you've said. Family is such an excellent support for each other through loss.

@tiffbot1985‌ I'm so sorry for your loss! My grandma passed away this past weekend (last Friday), so I know exactly how you feel. She lived 10 mins away and we were at her house two or three times a week throughout my entire childhood. She had advanced Alzheimer's, but I'm so thankful that I got married while she still could remember who I was. I know she would have been so excited to meet my baby and I'm so sad Baby will never get the chance to know his or her wonderful great-grandma. I'll be thinking of and praying for your family!

I'm so sorry to hear this. Both my grandfathers died from illness when I was young and I get choked up thinking about them not getting to meet their first great-grandchild. It must be so hard when it's so close and sudden. I wish he'd been able to brag about 14. I'm so glad you were able to have that Christmas together and get family pictures. That was an inspired idea. I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. I agree with @brennazesquire that it makes sense to want to know now. I think you should give it serious thought and go with what feels right.

So sorry for your loss Hun! My grandfather passed away nov 26th suddenly in his sleep. I know how you're feeling about wishing he could've met baby on the way. But I also know that he'll be watching over when baby does arrive. Sending prayers and thoughts your way.
