The 24-hours of silence is now over (for me, anyway), so now I want to address some issues/concerns I noticed.
1.) To the trolls from other websites – You can come here as often as you want, harass, name call, whatever…and you will not affect us. All you are doing is making yourselves look immature, and causing unnecessary panic and confusion for the new people on the boards. Once we are all back on here, you will probably not feel as comfortable, so don't unpack your bags. We are a tight-nit community of women who lean on each other, care for each other, and are here to socialize and enjoy ourselves. You attempt to troll is failing miserably.
2.) To the new members of the community – I understand at this time you are probably unsure as to what exactly is going on. I can assure you things WILL be back to normal in a few days/weeks. Right now, there is some misunderstanding, some uncalled for/surprising bannings, and some crazy drama, but we will all get through it together. All we ask from you is to bear with us. Also—we are not here to bully, taunt or stir up dirt. We are here to have a good time, so if you take our posts/replies too seriously (as many are sarcastic), you will think we are “being mean” to you. We are not. We simply would like many of you to use the search button more to search similar topics, do some homework research prior to asking basic questions and to understand we are just people too. We are not trying to be rude, and are not trying to push anyone away (unless you are a troll – see number one above). Just stick around and you will learn soon enough.
3.) To The Bump– The reason why your site is such a success is because of us…your members of the community. We have built many of these boards from the ground up, and most of us have been on here for several months if not years. We are the reason why your BMB’s are booming, and why The Bump has become so popular. Without us, you wouldn’t be as profitable which I am sure you are aware of. All we regs ask is for you to show us the same respect that we have shown you. If you are able, bring back our banned mods and give them the chance they deserve. I understand some things got out of control, and for that, we apologize, but honestly…a lot of the drama and issues came when things on here started to get changed up with very short warning. If you scroll through the many pages of posts on our board, you will see that 90% of them are very supportive, fun, caring, and enlightening while only 5% are snarky and the other 5% are board announcements made by you or mods. That is how most forums are….part supportive, part snarky. There really wasn’t too much drama until it was created by the mod bans and other randoms. We are simply asking that the boards get back to normal, and that we are less harassed and more appreciated.
4.) To the regs/"bitter snatches" – Us sticking together and
doing the 24-hours of silence as well as standing up for each other deserves a
round of applause! How can others say we are “mean” after seeing the care and
love we have outpouring to those of our community that were banned or those
that we begged to not leave. I am so proud of each and every one of you (insert
Oprah clapping gif here), and am happy to call you my board-buddies.

@MissRissx3 What exactly are you trying to prove at this point? Stop. Take everyone's advice and step back. Way back.

Getting back to regularly scheduled programming, well said @lgsdesigner!
The ratings of TB are at about 2 now, well below other, newer boards and in almost every review the community is the reason for the low ranking - the rankings are where TB gets their advertisers who have dropped because of comparisons to other/less dramatic/snarky boards. There have already been several advertisers who have moved over to other places because of this - which i suspect is part of them actually cracking down on the rude/unhelpful/etc comments from a small group of women.
Welcome back May 15, looking forward to resuming our regularly scheduled programming.

People are taking it very personally, but this was a business decision that they needed to make. The boards were hurting their profits according to the reviews, they needed to change that.
The continuation of those types of behaviors will just result in the complete ending of TB boards - so they can go back to 2007 when their stock was highest and there were no boards.
