Just dropping in to say that we got good news on the insurance front! Our appeal was approved and so Munchkin is on our insurance this year. Whew!
Also, LO seems to be developing a sleep pattern at night. I'll get internet rocks thrown at me, but I got like 8 hours of sleep over the course of 10 hours last night.
No rocks from me! I hate admitting it bc I don't want to jinx anything or have people getting mad at me but LO has slept 12 hours with only one wake to feed for the last two weeks! I am a little nervous about this alleged four month sleep regression but enjoying it for now!

My son slepslept like this from 6 weeks on. He hardly ever woke in the night. Now I'm being punished because he was so easy.
Little dude is off today...usually he nurses both sides every 2-3 hours and has awake and brief nap time between. Today he wants to eat every 1-2 hours but he conks out after 1 side and is very sleepy between. 10 week growth spurt...who knows
Anytime LO changes her "norm", we cry growth spurt. I bet it never is because she is SO SMALL. :P
I know! I always say growth spurt but it's probably once a week that he is "off"...he'd be toddler sized by now. So I think it's just typical unpredictability
Today I had to get blood drawn and ended up with the same phlebotomist who did my 6 week pp 2 hour glucose test. The following conversation happened.
Me: Oh yeah, I failed that test. Well, I didn't FAIL it, but I sure as hell didn't pass. I am "glucose intolerant" whatever that means. I have to do another test in May, but just a draw, no fasting or drinking crap.
Tech (looking at my records): Yeah, it's a simple A1C. It will just measure your sugar over the previous 3 months.
Me (looking down at my Dunkin Donuts coffee): Shit. I guess I have to watch my diet for real then. See this cup of coffee? It came with TWO donuts and I ate BOTH OF THEM on the drive over.

@Lilwatz don't they mean insulin resistant? (Its tested through glucose tolerance) I am also insulin resistant. It basically means your body doesn't use your insulin correctly. Your food doesn't get turned into energy, just goes to fat storage. It is a type of Type 2 diabetes. But it can cause your pancreas to stop functioning and produce insulin, thus you become Type 1 diabetic and have to take insulin injections.
@schrijiver awesome news!
Actually they said it is pre-diabetes, so not type 2 yet. I am in the risky grey area between healthy and diabetes.
@Lilwatz jup thats exactly what I have. Have to follow a low GI diet. Not so bad, but a lot to get used to. And no donuts or any oily food. Sorry
pm'ed you
Good luck to everyone on their own for the first time, returning to work, and heading out for appointments!
We have our 2 month shots this afternoon too. I'm hoping for a drowsy baby, since I over did it playing with Gabby yesterday and need a break!
Louie had a 6 hour stretch followed by a 5 hour stretch. Unfortunately, Gabby decided to wake up twice while Louie was out, so I didn't get to sleep. I swear they plan this.
I think I need a second boppy. Our dog seems to think it's his bed and not LOs prop. I find it ironic since he has had several dog beds that he never will lay in. I use his laying in it as an excuse to have to hold LO when she naps. I don't want to move the dog and have be jealous of LO.
Thanks so much for all the birthday wishes!!! LO went to bed really late last night but slept from 8-11:40 so I slept in too My mom watched him while I got a mani/pedi and my in-laws are babysitting while H and I go out to dinner! Turning out to be a really nice day
Today has been so long I thought tomorrow was Wednesday. Womp womp! L screamed all. day. long. Fought sleep all. day. long. Whhhhy?! It makes me so sad when he is miserable! He is fed clean diaper but just rages!! Also during bath time took a poop in the tub. He was just telling me quite literally how he felt about today. He is so stinking cute but just a ball of baby fury sometimes!
Y'all WTF is Ashely's deal on The Bachelor?!?! Bitch be cray!!!!
I can't believe he kept her....
Note to self: do not skim in an attempt to get caught up... I totally read this as a continued response to the difficulty of colic babies and thought Damn! That's harsh.
